We went to Morimoto for my boyfriend’s birthday, and I chose it for the atmosphere this place is beautiful, stylish, and feels perfect for a special occasion.

We started with the Hot & Sour Soup, which was really good. Then we ordered the “Ribs”(the best part of the night—honestly the best of the best). I would 100% recommend getting those. We also tried the whole duck, which comes with buns. The duck was delicious and the presentation was gorgeous such a fun experience to try. One tip: enjoy it there while it’s fresh, because it doesn’t taste the same as takeout later.

For sushi, we ordered the Spider roll and it wasn’t my favorite. It felt like it could be improved, and I also wish they had more tempura sushi options on the menu (I’m a big tempura fan). That may come down to personal taste, but the sushi didn’t stand out to me as much.

The drinks, though, were amazing. I had the mezcal cocktail “East Meets West” and it was absolutely delicious. My boyfriend ordered the Kokuto Old Fashioned, and it was also spectacular.

Overall, we had a lovely evening. The restaurant is truly gorgeous, but I do think some aspects of the service could be improved. Still, I’d recommend Morimoto for the vibe, the duck, and especially the cocktails.

We had a great experience at Marimoto Asia. Service was excellent, food was outstanding, and the atmosphere made our meal 100 times better. Although there is once complaint we had which I will get into. We started with the lemongrass chicken dumplings , along with the spicy pork wontons and they were absolutely delicious. We also ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen and the orange chicken which were fabulous. We then splurged a bit and ordered the Japanese A5 Wagyu which gets an A+ for the idea of tableside preparation, but unfortunately when you order 6 oz of steak costing over $200 the presentation was extremely lacking. It was cooked on a tiny little hot stone which made for a bit of an awkward experience as only about 4 pieces at a time were able to be cooked and then they were placed on a plate. 6 oz made for over 20 pieces total which took forever to cook. Not to mention, the “hot stone” it was cooked on was placed above eye level of the table on a bussing platter (the large round platter used to collect dirty dishes). On top of this, the cooked Wagyu was just placed on an empty plate…. Other steakhouses that serve Wagyu generally have a better setup such as Meat Market in Tampa which places each piece of the Wagyu on a 10 pound rock of Himalayan Salt…. but unfortunately we just got an empty plate.
The quality was there but for the price point of over $200, it was lacking in our opinion. Everything else was great though including the cocktail list where we ordered a Mai Tai and the Sapporo beer.

Loved our lunch here. Maria, our server, was wonderful as it was our first time. We tried the spare ribs, yellowtail sushi, pork dumplings and the table side hot stone tuna rice special. I had the mango rice cocktail and my husband had the jackfruit mojito which were great. We were surprised at the 30 percent tax on alcohol. We also had the refreshing iced green tea. We ended with the Japanese souffle cheesecake. We would gladly return.

Wow, it had been about two years since we were last here, but this was our second time eating at Morimoto and it was another amazing experience. We reserved our table online and were seated just a few minutes later, and our waiter, John, was absolutely amazing.

We ordered their orange chicken and it was incredible, plus the portions were huge! They give you these big pieces of chicken tempura served with Chinese broccoli and rice. It was such a perfect pairing. We also ordered the spicy wontons, and seriously, they were so good I honestly wanted to order more, but I had to save room for all that orange chicken.

I tried the East Meets West cocktail, which is a mezcal drink, and it was so delicious that I ordered a second one immediately. I honestly could have kept drinking them all night if I wanted to.
I would definitely come back here again.

This was my family’s first time at Morimoto and let me tell you….. 5 star service and the best Asian food we have ever had!!!!

We had reservations for a party of 7 and our wait was only about 1-2 minutes. We were seated and our waiter, Andres was very welcoming and shared with us his recommendations.

The spare ribs were THE BEST I’VE EVER TRIED…. WOW!!!! The lettuce wraps, eel + avocado rolls, California rolls, the edamame and the yellowtail fish with the rice (Buri Bop) was cooked to order in front of us… DELICIOUS TOO!!!

Seriously can’t wait to go back.. our party of 7 shared all the plates together and we were so satisfied. We even got to take some left over home.

This restaurant is A MUST to try!!! You won’t be disappointed

We have been to Marimoto Asia twice before and have enjoyed it so when our friends suggested going this week we looked forward to it. It was a cold evening so the area around the check in desk was chaotic as no one wanted to wait outside. It took about 15 minutes to be shown our table.

We sat next to the open kitchen which was good – nice to see the preparation of the food. After some time deliberating we ordered our food and some cocktails. Our server was helpful explaining the menu and the ‘signature’ dishes.

To start I had the spare ribs and my wife the prawn tempura sushi roll. The ribs were excellent with soft and succulent meat coated in an Asian sauce (nice change from the more usual BBQ type sauce.

Our man in dish choice was the duck between us. It comes beautifully presented with either pancakes or bao buns and either rice or noodles. There is no doubt the meat is cooked perfectly and makes for a filling meal. The major disappointment for us was that the ‘crispy’ skin was not at all crispy and was unpleasant to eat. This is normally one of the most enjoyable parts. My wife isn’t a great fan of fat on meat and we both felt that there was a lot more fat on the duck than we were expecting.

We passed on dessert and paid the $180 bill with tip which we didn’t think was worth it. With so many good restaurants in Disney Springs I’m not sure we will come back.

I REALLY wanted to like this restaurant because I am such a huge fan of the chef, but honestly I would never go back. The waiters were absolutely wonderful but the hosts in the front were rude and kept leaving customers hanging. They would dissappear for extended amount of time and people would just walk out without getting answers. We expected a long wait, which was no problem, but the host in the front called us back about twice and our table was not ready. We ended up dining by the sushi bar and it was the first time I was NEVER greeted by a sushi chef. It was kind of surprising. Our waitress was wonderful and the interior of the restaurant was gorgeous. The sushi presented was oddly bland and had multiple chewy bits. I was really hoping to have super delicious sushi here. The braised ribs were delicious. Order those if you go.

The food is always good as expected and service is exceptional! Ralph, my server, is a very kind and sweet person, he takes his job very seriously and treat his customers with great curtesy and care! I enjoyed everything here! Thank you for the wonderful Christmas Eve. Xiaoli

Read the other reviews , place disrespects the Morimoto name / brand. The food is tasty ….. when it actually comes out warm , or on time, or when your server forgets your first ordered drink when you’ve already complete your appetizers and halfway thru your main dishes . Whoever runs the responses for these reviews will just copy and paste a generic “oh we’re so sorry we’ll work on it “ response. Admit it , your management doesn’t really care.

Your front of the house sucks. We were standing in the corner of an area away from the doors the other night and were asked to wait outside in the mid 40s weather at night … because we were letting the cold in and that the staff at the desk was cold …. We were no where near the doors , and how does that even correlate the two events ? That would be like me telling the line cooks that I didn’t get my cocktail drink.

Talking about drinks. Some of us got our drinks in a normal amount of time while one of our guests didn’t receive his initial order drink until halfway thru his main course. At least 25 minutes into dining. Server’s BS excuse : oh the bar is very busy …. Ma’am he ordered a Diet Coke.

The food quality I will admit is very good. The Morimoto spare ribs (pork ) are very great and very tender , with a nice crust and a sauce that doesn’t overpower. Table ordered Edamame , your basic edamame finished with Maldon style flake salt. The assorted dumplings / gyoza style dumplings we had were good , not amazing , but quality ingredients.

One person at the table ordered the Buri-bop , which i assume is a play on stone pot bibimbap , they did a nice tableside presentation and explanation of the dish.

I personally came for the Peking duck dish , as i understand and appreciate the labor and process that goes into making Peking duck. We had to waive down the manager to ask where our dish was , and only after talking to the manager did a room temperature plate of duck show up. Yes , pretty much room temp. I even politely asked the manager what temp should the dish be and he said hot, just in case if it was ignorance on my part , and he apologized with another plate in about 2 minutes into, stating that he had taken someone else’s duck dish off the line to replace ours. So sorry for whoever had to wait for their duck dish.

Now I will admit. When the duck was brought out the second time , it was delicious, whoever cuts and plates the duck does and amazing job , it was flavorful, skin pieces were crispy and the leg sections were just the right amount of meat and fat. We chose the bao buns to keep it traditional and they were warm pillowy masterpieces that hugged the ingredients. Assembled together with the julienned cucumber and spring onion and sauces. It was excellent. Was it worth the $80 in conjunction with the service , that’s for you to decide.

Will we be back , honestly I don’t know. You would probably have to have chef Morimoto himself invite me back before I’d willfully come back. This restaurant is trying to coast on the name / brand itself and that it’s been here for 10+ years. But it probably relies on the one time dining tourists and doesn’t care about the locals that could dine there on a frequent basis.

Went to Morimoto Asia at Disney Springs and, honestly, it’s one of the best Japanese restaurants I’ve ever been to — and I’ve traveled to more than 20 countries. The food is insanely good, everything feels super well-prepared, beautifully presented, and the flavors hit different. The place itself is stunning, huge, well located, and has that classy vibe without being pretentious. It was a bit crowded, but we arrived right when it opened, so even without a reservation we got a table pretty fast.

Prices are definitely on the expensive side — depending on your budget, it can hit hard. We went as a group of four, ordered a lot, and the final bill was really high. But the service was exceptional, the food and drinks were top-tier, and the sake and beer were amazing. If it fits your budget, it’s absolutely worth it. I’d go back for sure the next time I’m at Disney.
