My sister and I happened upon Ratcliff’s while bicycling the Natchez Trace. This is one of the few places right along the Trace (about 0.5 miles down a cross road) to refuel during a long day of cycling. Everyone at the restaurant was so kind, and they provide bike racks and outdoor seating. The food was so great too. We enjoyed the people as much as the food and would not miss this stop on our next trek down the Trace.

The campsites are still closed. One boat ramp is still closed. Parking lot & road needs to be repaved. The band this weekend was Great, so it gets an extra star . There was not a cover charge at the door. I enjoyed the music while I evaluated the place. The staff and service at both the bar and restaurant were terrible. I sat at a table for 2 hours as a test to see if anyone would wait on me. When I left, no one had asked if I needed something to eat or drink. I watched people constantly flag the staff & bartender down for food & drinks.
I left and went to The Watering Hole. The service was Great with a packed house and a Great band… The Ratliff Ferry is not what it used to be. I appears to be a combination of the PRV, the lessor, and the leasee, which have allowed this once wonderful recreational & resort area to fall into shambles.

My husband thought the cheeseburger was the best he ever had here. Place was a bit chilly in February. Make sure you dress warm as they don’t seem to have heat.
