Let me just say—this place initially wooed us with its charming atmosphere and pretty presentation. That’s about where the magic ended.
We had a 7:00 PM reservation, but somehow didn’t see a single plate of food until 8:15 PM. Over an hour of twiddling our thumbs, sipping overpriced wine that may or may not have been a true 6 oz pour (funny how their glasses have no measurement lines—convenient, right?).
When the food finally decided to grace us with its presence, it was underwhelming in every possible sense:
My husband’s burger? Dry, sad, and quite literally naked—no sauce, no veggies, no effort. We could’ve had a far better burger experience at Five Guys for half the price, with twice the flavor.
My scallops? Mediocre at best. Absolutely nothing to write home about—certainly not worth the wait or the inflated price tag.
Speaking of prices: the wine list was a sticker shock moment for sure. And if you’re going to charge those rates, at least serve it in a glass that gives me confidence I’m actually getting what I paid for.
Bottom line: this was a textbook case of style over substance. Nice décor can’t save subpar food, slow service, and questionable value. Safe to say we’ll be taking our appetite (and money) elsewhere next time.
Service: 5/5 ✨ – Attentive and friendly
Ambiance: 5/5 ✨ – Beautiful seasonal decor. Happy holidays!
Atmosphere pleasant and comfortable. Tony was excellent.
Wife had ribeye. Cooked to perfection. I had the pork chop. It was amazing. The place was crowded. Many people also at the bar. Not cheap but worth the cost.
Our server was fantastic and offered us 2 free desserts for our birthdays! There was not a lot of seating due to Covid, but we went on a non busy day and we had reservations. There’s parking available around the area as well!
We got a few different dishes and all of them were delicious! Every dish was flavorful and made very well. The beef carpaccio, 48 hour short rib, salmon filet, filet medallions, and risotto were fantastic and so delicious. The meats were tender and juicy, risotto was flavorful, and the salmon was cooked very well! I think the portions could have been a bit bigger for the price, we spent about $150 for 4 people minus desserts, but it was very good!
We got whiskey bread pudding and New Orleans beignets and they were absolutely delicious. The beignets were unexpected because they were light and flakey and drizzled with honey and powdered sugar. The latte that the beignets came with was a good bitter balance to the sweet pastries. The bread pudding was also very sweet, but delicious!
I recommend this place for dinner, a date, a small group, and delicious food!
