I came here for brunch, where I got the biscuits with chipotle gravy. The ambiance here is quite nice, and I noticed a fair number of people that looked like regulars, including someone holding a Bimrimgham city binder of some sort. The server was friendly, and the food preparation was fairly fast. The biscuits and gravy were really good. My companion was a bit disappointed with his avocado toast, though he couldn’t explain why. On the whole the feeling was the food was very good. I did notice I had to ask for salt and pepper; the shakers weren’t already on the table. I’d come back if in the area!

Food was so good! Such a cool environment too. I got the kombucha and it was so good. I also got the smash burger and it was delicious. I have a 4 star on service only because it took quite a long time for appetizers and food to be brought out.

Second time here and it is a great location for any occasion
Very chill spot for a team meet, a date, or working off the laptop.
Had chips and salsa as appetizer and bacon egg and cheese on a jalapeño load bagel and my beautiful Amor had the Broadbent omelet

Swung by for some breakfast and it was awesome! Got the rosemary honey latte and Capri sandwich. Latte was SO GOOD. I wish i had gotten the person at the registers name, as she recommended all of what I got and it was a great call. Perfect grab and go, very filling! Adorable establishment. Very welcoming and bright feeling. Loved.

Nice cozy space. I really liked the french toast and my wife loved the salmon salad. The French toast was soft, fluffy, and the apple toppings added a nice touch to it. The danish wasn’t my taste specifically, but I am sure others would love it.

First experience was fantastic. Not too long of a wait on a Sunday. We gave ourselves plenty of time before seeing Wicked at BJCC concert hall, which was less than 5 minutes away. Lovely atmosphere and staff. Food and coffees were delicious. I tried the Golden Monkey Latte w/ oat milk. My daughter and I shared an order of Vanilla Cinnamon French toast and the Farm Breakfast so we got a little bit of everything. It was the perfect amount of food. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town.

2/19/26 bad experience. we had three different servers throughout the experience for some reason, even though we were polite and enjoyed the food/drinks. they forgot our appetizer, then didn’t pay attention to modifiers in our meals. both i and my mom got the farm breakfast. i asked for cheese scrambled into my eggs. they came out plain. we asked which ones had cheese, and said it was fine if they didn’t. also took them a minute to remember we asked for extra bacon, and that we were missing a side of grits. the second server was extremely persistent about getting the eggs remade, despite us saying it truly wasn’t an issue and we just wanted to eat what we had. the third server brought us our check and then didn’t even give us a chance to look at it. he stood there and said “I can take it for you now” like they were trying to rush us out. the Homewood location is 100x better, but i’m not sure I would want to visit again period if this is the standard for service.

Coffee, cocktails, food, and a welcoming vibe for us laptop warriors? SOLD! I was visiting from out of town and searching for a spot to get some work done after 4pm—when most nearby coffee shops had already closed. Thankfully, I stumbled upon this gem.
Frothy Monkey was the perfect find. They let me settle in for a few hours, and while I had already eaten, the food coming out of the kitchen looked incredible. I ordered a few espresso martinis (highly recommend!) and grabbed a veggie plate to go.
This place gives off Sunday Funday energy every day of the week. If you’re in town, it’s an absolute must-visit!

We ordered breakfast this morning.
I ordered the “Julie Bagel” which is eggs, tomato feta and basil on an everything bagel. The bagel had zero seasoning on it. It was more like a nothing bagel. It was a very dry and stale tasting bagel. I could not see or taste any basil. There was a tiny amount of feta but I could not taste it. This was bar none the worst bagel sandwich I have ever eaten.
My wife ordered the French toast. Again, the bread was dry and stale. How can French toast be dry? I don’t know but it was.
My wife also got a 16oz coffee which was delicious. Some of the best coffee I have tasted from a breakfast cafe. I got the firepot chai latte which was also delicious.
Service was ok. Somewhat slow for the amount of people working and the few customers that were in there. I tried to catch our server’s attention a few times when they left us unattended but they kept on walking by.
To summarize, the coffee and tea were great. The food was awful. Service mediocre. It was quite pricy considering the quality and the amount of food we ate. The music was also so loud, I couldn’t hear what our server was saying half the time and had to ask him to repeat himself several times.

I love Frothy Monkey for brunch. It’s a decent size so plenty of tables with a menu that’s not too big or large. The food is great and venue clean. I’ve never had a bad experience here so far. It’s definitely a girls brunch type or place rather than a homey breakfast but fits the area well.
