This isn’t the best Chinese restaurant in the world but it’s not the worse either. The portion sizes aren’t the greatest but the prices are reasonable. We got the pupu platter for two and it was smaller than other restaurants but the quality of food was really good. The chicken fingers are huge and plump, very filling. The chicken wings are amazing. You don’t get real egg rolls, you get spring rolls. What I found odd is most chinese restaurants have rice come with your pupu platter, this one didnt. Very strange. I have no real complaints about the food other than portion size, they also have bubble tea which is awesome. All kinds of flavors. It’s a very small place but there’s plenty of seating, tons of booths and tables, very wheelchair friendly. Lighting is dim but I think that’s on purpose. They have christmas lights all over the building and walkway year round which gives it a nice atmosphere setting. The walkway is long, feels like it takes forever to get to from the car but the walkway is safe and no trip hazards. The prices are reasonable, they accept debit/credit and cash. They accept doordash, they are always busy with doordash. The menu is diverse, you can find vegetables on the menu that’s healthy. Sadly they do not offer unlimited soda refills, you pay for each one and it’s tiny soda cups, they offer free water though. Parking is okay, there’s enough room, free parking lot but like I said long way to the door. It’s a hit or a miss with kids, really just depends if they like chinese food. The waitress on staff wasn’t the most attentive but she tried. I’m unsure on the days but they do have an all you can eat lunch buffet which is really good, not a lot of selection but still very good. I would call and ask what days and times they offer it.
My ratings I’m giving does not mean I didn’t enjoy my time there. I encourage everyone to try them out because the food is really good, if your a hungry person the portion sizes may not meet your expectations but the prices are fair. Try the chicken fingers, you won’t be disappointed. You have a view of the kennebec river. I know, not super exciting but it’s still a nice view of the water. It’s a quiet, cozy little place but good for a quiet night out with family or spouse. Wasn’t the best place but wasn’t the worst. Give them a try!

Crab Rangoons were good and so was the Rice . The Pan Fried Noodles were like taking Raimen from the package and taking a uncooked bite out of them . The Chicken was undercooked and slimy and so were the mushrooms in it . I was a little disappointed from my first time trying food here honestly. .There are much better Chinese restaurants in the Waterville area and in Southern Maine from my experience .

Seriously the best of the best American Chinese food. The egg rolls are handmade every day. Super fresh and just soooo good! A must see in Maine. Defintley worth the trip!

Food was very good overall. The main draw was that they serve Peking duck, which was delicious and very hard to find anywhere. The other items ordered were good but unremarkable. Atmosphere was very nice, quite with a good view of the river.

I just left LG after making a mistake with my order and not having enough cash on me. They spotted me the $2, didn’t make me feel bad about it, and then explained how to order it the way I wanted in the future. This type of service more than makes up for the lack of refills the first time. I’m having one of the worst months of my life and this small act of kindness meant the world to me. I am now a loyal customer thru thick and thin, and I’ll bring you the $$ asap.
Good food. Fresh buffet. Service was slow on a slow lunch. Had to wait for refills to drinks quite a bit but it’s a nice local Asian eatery and I would go back!

I grew up visiting and enjoying takeout from Lucky Garden, and they never disappoint! The food is always so authentic and fresh, and the customer service is wonderful. You don’t want to miss out on this gem of a spot!

Looking for your happy place? Here it is! There is a view of the river, art on the wall, lush plants, and the food is delicious. They make a nice cup of tea and a good cocktail as well. The prices are also very good. We were a party of 10 with reservations at 4PM on a Sunday night. We were able to get right in, and the buffet was full, hot, and offered a nice selection of foods.

I cannot say enough good about Lucky Garden. I have been going for years and have never had a meal that wasn’t outstanding. Menu selections are freshly made and have great texture, color, and flavor. Weekend buffet is hands down the best in the area.
