I had such an amazing experience at Blue Mountain Café! This Black-owned gem is everything you could ask for—peaceful, upscale, and welcoming. I stopped in while I catch up ok some work, and the vibe was perfect: smooth jazz playing, great atmosphere, and even the parking was easy with a meter right by the door.
The food was delicious, the service was outstanding, and the overall experience made me feel right at home. If you’re a coffee lover, especially Blue Mountain Coffee, this is definitely the place to go. Highly recommend—you won’t be disappointed!
When I entered… it was a whole experience. The service, the decor.. all around quality experience. . it was so pleasant!! We ended up trying the bread pudding. Hands down ,it was best I’ve ever put in my mouth, coming from someone born and raised in Louisiana. We also tried the Blueberry Château, completely covered in blueberries with a light icing on angel food with strawberry marmalade inside! Def a must try on a warm day!! I could have eaten two pieces!! My daughter had an organic brownie that was next to none! She barely let me taste it! I really didn’t think we were going to sit down and eat it all of that.. but the only thing that made it out the door was the chocolate cake, and only because I got it to go. Side-note.. if you have never had Jamaican chocolate cake, do your self a favor and go get a slice, just so you understand why I was looking for it in the first place. Everything is hand made right there. You can taste the quality in every bite.10 out of 10!! This will be a “must stop” every time I venture downtown West Palm Beach from now!! I can’t wait to taste everything on the menu!! Only pics I could get before it all disappeared!’ they were all delicious!! Chocolate cake not pictured.(it made it out the door, but not home)
The coffee is exceptional — smooth, rich, and incredibly well-balanced. You can truly taste the quality in every sip. Their Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee is next-level: low acidity, no bitterness, and a clean, refined finish that keeps you coming back for more.
Thank you!

Responding to a honest review being nasty isn’t going to get you anywhere!!! Hire a real Jamaican to cook the food instead of serving a spoon of ackee covered in parsley & bland tasteless”jerk chicken”. A Jamaican wasn’t in the kitchen much less room where any of this food was prepared. I’m not cheap & have no problem paying I have a problem paying when the quality doesn’t match what is being served. Learn to take constructive criticism that’s the problem with you JAMAICANS!
The owner was in the store the morning I went and she was very polite, friendly and chatted with me a bit in German so I really appreciated her genuine and open personality. I also have to add that, in my experience, I found her to be well dressed and neat in contrast to another review.
As far as the menu, yes, on first look the prices bite. But I appreciate what she is going for and I do prefer small mom&pop cafes or those that young people start to Starbucks. I have had completely watered down hot cocoa from Starbucks for $7+ and the crazy prices for the travel mugs made in China that don’t last long ($25-$40 abroad) are just a no. I used to collect them as souvenirs but stopped because they just don’t last. It is overpriced for nothing.
Long story short, she has espresso and hot tea and croissants that are all within the expected range for a city like WPB or NYC. So you can go for those if the prices shock you. The croissant actually comes with butter and on a real plate, no plastic or paper or bag for one time use. The seating is also super cozy.
Last but not least, I understand there is competition but I feel like it is important to support female owned business, especially single or divorced. I don’t think she should be berated and treated negatively in a mean high school girl way. She is a big fan of her home-grown coffee and that I respect. I have honestly been hounded much harder with oversells at nail salons as I have been here so I wish her luck. It will be interesting to see how the business develops going forward. The designs and logos are beautiful.
