Great experience even on a rough day.
I wasn’t planning to dine in and honestly came in having a bad day, but Annabelle’s Golden Chick turned it around. The food was hot, fresh, and really good, and the overall experience was better than expected. Sometimes good food really does help, and this place delivered. I’ll definitely be back.

I had a guy named “Jakari” or someone to take my order. I couldn’t hardly hear him because he was speaking down into the register •. He continued to speak at low volume and I asked for a supervisor. I saw him go back into the kitchen without using any gloves. This is insanitary and unsatisfactory. I reported him to the manager that took my order and I told her I didn’t want him to touch my order because I don’t trust what he will do after I asked for the manager. I didn’t see anyone in this place wearing gloves.

We got the 8pc family meal and spent $35 on 8pc mixed, family fries, and mashed potatoes and gravy. The mash was cold to the touch and the gravy was flavorless. The mash can be microwaved but the temps should be controlled better to avoid food borne illnesses. The worst aspect of our visit is that the white meat was very dry, it was essentially inedible due to how hard the pieces of chicken had gotten from prolonged exposure to just sitting out after cooking. Definitely not fresh and definitely not returning here. I won’t chance getting sick or spending money on something with such poor quality.

Just horrible I Came to the drive thru around 9:30 pm and othered a 3pc (breast, and two thighs one roasted) mash potatoes and dirty rice. The young lady at the window acted like she was just over it for the night also. My chicken was old like it was timed out very dark and salty, mash was cold and dirty rice was just a dry clump of mush. For $17 I would expect more out of an establishment especially because they were slow with no business a hour before close. This was very disappointing because I couldn’t return because I have work very early in the morning I just had to eat it and throw the rest away. Please do better some of us don’t care about Popeyes we still love golden chick!

Horrible customer service. I walked in to pick up my order but was ignored for 5mins, standing there, looking to get eye contact with about 4 girls walking around in there. They all did everything to avoid eye contact. Weirdest experience I’ve ever had at a fast food. It’s like they did not want to be there. I was the only person in line. I eventually asked if someone can attend to me.. they all looked confused until one eventually looked around and my order was just sitting there ok the table around them. Strange

The Forney location of Golden Chick still has not acquired the proper management and customer service etiquette patrons expect. Each time I have visited the location in Forney my experience has been that the employees are rude, attitudinal, lacking training and/or motivation when it comes to customer service, and are unable to put together an order quickly and accurately. My order is always wrong! When I decided to call about the last messed up order I purchased through the drive-they, I received more attitude and defensiveness rather than excellent customer service. I’m over this place. It’s a shame because the food is pretty good BUT I’ll pass on visiting this location ever again! They need serious training in customer service and real managers who know how to manage.
