I ordered a bowl with white rice, black beans, and sofritas. The employee preparing my bowl did not verbally confirm my requests and only added sofritas initially – no black beans. When I corrected her, she stopped mid-scoop to add the beans, leaving insufficient sofritas coverage on half the bowl. When I politely asked for a bit more, she did not respond.
At checkout, I was charged for double meat I never ordered and clearly didn’t receive. When I questioned it, instead of checking with the person who made my bowl (who was right there), the cashier talked to the male employee at the beginning of the line in Spanish and claimed she “couldn’t see anything” when she opened my bowl. The manager came over and didn’t even investigate – just offered a remake.
I had already wasted 20 minutes of my lunch break. Now I either pay for something I didn’t get, or throw away food and wait another 20 minutes? I felt like they were calling me a liar. No one would listen. So I paid just to leave.
To be dismissed and treated like I’m making things up is completely unprofessional.
This was not just poor customer service – it was dismissive, accusatory, and completely unprofessional. The manager and staff need immediate retraining in communication, customer service, and basic conflict resolution.
Typically order the same thing everyday for lunch so they know me/my order/and rarely did I ever have anything that didn’t taste good. Occasional off days with over salted rice or chicken but if you go somewhere to eat 1,095 times surely you’d have a few misses.
Fairly consistent with portions although there was a 2-3 month period where I had to ask that they add a bit more with some new hires.
Will definitely be back when I’m in the area and hope everyone there continues to do well!
The manager was working the food line, and he was very engaged with customers and staff. Greeted people on a friendly way when they entered.
10/10 would recommend.
