Cracker Barrel is getting back to it’s basics after that big shake up last year.
Recipes changed, portions shrunk and they were losing that je ne sais quoi that made them special.
Today’s breakfast was a nice treat. The hostess was sweet, the food was good and all is settling down at the Barrel.
If you haven’t been to a Cracker Barrel in a while, give them another shot.

This was my first time here (came because of T-Mobile) and really wasn’t happy with the food. My server, I believe his name was Tyree, was polite and attentive. Well the whole staff that I encountered was polite. The establishment was clean. However, the food just wasn’t all that great. I got the fish since it was Friday with Mac and cheese and fries. The fries tasted like it was cooked in old grease and the Mac just didn’t have any flavor. The fish was kind of on the small side but was okay. I did get the tenders to go and the tenders were well seasoned and juicy. I got rice and it was actually really tasty. I did come late (8pm) so maybe that’s why the quality of food wasn’t all that great. I will be back during the daytime to give them another shot.

My husband and I had dinner with our buddy here on a Saturday after a dinner rush. The meal and experience was great; hubby said it was the best breakfast he’s had here, and the catfish was especially good tonight. All of this despite another patron loudly complaining about every little thing seemingly looking for attention, a free meal, and/or encouraging others to join in on berating staff. It says more about him than it does the individuals he chose to terrorize. I personally will never understand people who feel comfortable treating restaurant workers horribly. It’s so tacky.

We had dinner at this retro-style restaurant with a cozy grocery store. We ordered three Campfire meals and one Cheeseburger kids’ meal.
The food was not too acidic, but the S’mores were too sweet.

The best Cracker Barrel! The food was beyond amazing and our server was the best. I can’t remember her name but I had to give her an extra tip due to the service she provided. The gift shop was cute as well. They good smelling candles and other items that will catch your eye.

We dine here a lot. We’ve had good servers but mainly a lot of poor service. We did come across a great server named Maynard. If you go there ask for him and he will make your done in experience great.

I was so pleasantly surprised. This place is like stepping back in fine. The store is adorable. Food was delish. Prices were so reasonable and the staff was super nice. It was clean and very busy but everyone kept up and things were out very timely. I work close by so I’m really looking forward coming back again for lunch. The fried pork chops were a big hit! Try them!!

I ordered Chocolate Chips pancakes with eggs and crispy bacon; it was cooked to perfection; yummy pancakes.
And those Beignets ; Yumny
This restaurant is consistent with the Cracker Barrel brand.
I will patronize this establishment again.

My shrimp came out very undercooked. It seemed very obvious even in the low lighting the grey and translucent, uncurled shrimp. My waitress was very understanding and polite and put in my replacement order as soon as I let her know. Unfortunately, in doing so she charged me for the tenders on their own with 2 individual sides instead of replacing the entree. So what was originally a $14 shrimp entree and sent back for a $13 chicken tender entree we paid $17 when they made the mistake.
I know it’s not my servers fault the food came out raw, it’s the cooks who should know better, but the issue also wasnt satisfactorily resolved as I paid more than even the original entree.
I definitely don’t recommend getting seafood here to avoid this situation all together

We got the campfire chicken dinner with red potatoes, carrots corn on the cob. It arrived piping hot wrapped in foil fresh off the grill. Probably the best meal I have ever had from there and I’ve had many. Highly recommended looking forward to trying the campfire dinner with beef next.
