What a venue! It’s so good and unique. It’s built like a ship in the North Avenue beach, and this whole DJ thing happens in the middle. And on the left, you see the North Avenue beach of the lake, basically. And on the right, you see an awesome Chicago downtown view. I’ve never seen Chicago like this. You can see the Skydeck building at the center when you look from this ship-like structure. The venue is awesome. The restrooms are downstairs. You also have access to the beach, which is nice. And also, you can go at the back. There is a food place where you can sit and relax while the party is going on. Really nice venue. I went for a Marsh x Durante organized by ARC by the lake, and it was a very nice event.

I attended the 2025 Chicago Air & Water show viewing at Castaways.
The experience was outstanding. We had the best view in the house of the airshow and enjoyed the food and drinks served throughout the day and was included in the ticket price. The service was good and most of the staff were friendly. I will absolutely go back!
One thing that disappointed us was that we arrived very early to select a seat and found out upon arrival that seats were reassigned. Perhaps management will add that information on their site in the future.

Great time watching the airshow at Castaways! Perfect spot for watching and the service, food and drinks were perfect.
We were at table 7 and our waitress was very attentive and very patient. I didn’t catch her name but she was awesome. Well worth the price.

This is a review for the Air and Water Show special watch party which was absolutely amazing and worth every penny.
This has to be the hardest working staff I’ve ever seen, shout out to Lupe who someone managed to keep dozens of drinks orders set and flowing.
The food was delicious! Loved the mahi with mango, and the Chicago beef sandwhich is as good as you’ll find.
The view of the show can’t be beat, sipping on frozen drinks and watching jets fly 1000mph over your head is a once in a lifetime experience.
Get tickets before they sellout and wear sunscreen!

We want for drinks/appetizer’s! The chips/salsa/guacamole /plantains chips were delicious! The drinks and service were great! The views were incredible! Worst thing was you had to go all the way downstairs to a very chilly bathroom!

Even on the chilly, slightly rainy, windy day we went on it was a wonderful place with great views and good servers and quick food. The service from our waitress was wonderful and she did a good job of keeping our drinks topped off and a friendly demeanor.
The host was great, but it wasn’t super crowded and she sat us right by the host stand. Normally I wouldn’t care except some coworker was at the host stand the entire time trying to hit on her (so badly) so we got listen to that train wreck the whole time; it was entertaining until it just turned sad.
Most of the food was good, not great; I didn’t write home about it, but it was good. The ricotta and pomegranate dip though with that bread? That was amazing, I could have had just 3 plates of that! Overall, would go back and enjoy it again.

The place itself is really nice and the rooftop view was definitely the highlight, loved that part. But overall, the experience was just okay. The food was mid and didn’t really live up to the vibe it seems to be going for on social media. Our server only had a few tables but still took a long time to take care of us or even check in, we actually had to get up and get their attention at one point. The service wasn’t horrible, just super slow and inattentive. Might come back just for drinks and the view.

I’m blown away by the views here. Perfect skyline and lake view. The atmosphere is 100/10 amazing and server was super friendly. Food is the definition of average and my wrap came out cold but you’re here for the vibes, not the food really.
