I’m all about a small, local, mom & pop diner – no matter how old or outdated the place may seem. It feels like it takes you back in time lol. The portions were good, food was tasty. Service was quick as well.

Still the best catfish in Oklahoma City! Price has increased to either 8.99 or 9.99. but compared to other places, it’s still a very great value! I can’t stress enough just how great the fish is. So, again, be aware that the place is old, it shows it’s age, you’ll smell the smoke room, but man the catfish is amazing. I’ve never ate anything else so I can’t review the other dishes.

I get the catfish dinner every time. I’m a fat man, and can eat a lot, but ths dinner is more than I can eat every time. Today, I saw a Korean war Vet and as I left I gave my last 15 in cash to put on their bill. I’ve never been blessed to be able to give randomly like this. But I over heard their table talking, and the more I heard the more I wanted to do. I left so I didn’t get to see what happened but I hope it brought them some joy 🙂

They do have a smoking room, you can tell the place use to be all smoking for years and years, and it’s very aged and can be off putting to some people who are prudes. I get the catfish dinner every time and leave full! The price? 6 or 7 dollars. Kids eat free? Yup.

You want good old fashioned service & good food…..well come here. A family owned restaurant where appearances decieve. The owner works there and is super friendly as is the waitress. No frills, nothing fancy, juat good food at good prices. There is a smoking section and sometimes the place smells of it so if your sensitive or don’t want the little ones exposed to second hand smoke then order to go. The food arrived quickly and hot and i am getting hungry thinking about it! It has become a favorite restaurant of ours.

This diner is old and worn out but they are moving to a new location soon so that may not matter. The coffee and food are good and reasonably priced. The service is good. My wife and I had eggs over-easy, hash browns, grits, toast, and biscuits with gravy. Pretty standard comfort food and well prepared. My wife thought the hash browns some of the best she’s ever gotten at a restaurant.

Love the atmosphere and the staff is very friendly. Food is pretty good. Have had the bacon cheeseburger and the chicken fried chicken meal. I think I will try the potato soup next time. Would like it if they extended their kids menu. Maybe to include a small pizza or something kids will eat. Besides that we love the place.

Great little spot for fast service and tasty filling food, my ribeye was perfectly cooked and the country fried smothered looked like Grandma’s.
The only thing I didn’t like was the smoke overflow from the smoking section.
If they wanted to do a positive pressure system so the smoke stays in there i would come back.
It has a great feel of times past. And the service can’t be beat, how do you get a nice little 10 oz ribeye cooked to perfection and everyone else’s meal out in less than 10 minutes is amazing!!

You don’t go here for the ambiance, you go for great diner food with a staff that is as charming as they are competent. I’ve gone here on and off for over 20 years (before it was named Favorites) and the last visit was delighted to see one of the original waitresses. The burgers are huge, the omelets cooked perfectly and my daughter loved the bread pudding with ice cream. The only knock I gave it was because they have a smoking section and could be a little more direct in asking people not to stand in the doorway and let the smoke spill into the main dining area. Having kids with asthma I’m disinclined to come back with them.

Came in yesterday to find out they were moving locations, new location is called Sydney’s on 4520 south may.moving date is April 30’th. Still got good food and the new African waitress was very kind. I think she was teasing me because she bent over a table to fill some sugar and waved her butt at me lol.

This place is definitely my “Little Hidey Hole”. Im a good cook so I’m very pick about the food I eat. I love GREAT food at a Great price and this little place is right on point. It’s a mom and pop type place. It’s extremely difficult to find Biscuits & Gravy at these bigger restaurants. Sometimes I just want something simple and this place is it. Go check them out for your self.
