During our visit for a birthday party dinner, we enjoyed duck wings with a tangy and spicy sauce, roasted Brussels sprouts, lobster with couscous, sea bass, and crusted chicken with Dijon sauce. The sea bass, lobster, and Brussels sprouts were particularly delicious. We shared it like family style. To add, they had a hot wine selection but we brought our own wine and champagne. The staff provided excellent service, being friendly and attentive. The restaurant has a bar area and outdoor seating for a more casual experience, overall it has nice decor. However, the area by the bathroom had an unpleasant odor similar to dog urine. All in all, a pleasant dining experience. I would highly recommend.

Stopped at Vine Restaurant & Bar on a drive from LAX to San Diego after spotting it on OpenTable, and it was a great find. Just a couple minutes off the freeway in a charming part of San Clemente, with easy parking out front.
The wine-by-the-glass selection was excellent. I ordered the fish special, a trout perfectly cooked in butter and lemon over grain rice. The flavors were clean, bright, and really well balanced.
Dessert was an oatmeal cookie ice cream creation that was outstanding. My friend who normally skips sweets demolished it.
Service was friendly, attentive, and exactly what you’d hope for. As the sun went down, candlelight gave the space a warm, romantic feel. I felt slightly underdressed in yoga pants fresh off a flight, but it still felt welcoming.
I’ll definitely be back.

Trusted my google search for a place to eat and ended up here. The food was good and the service was superb. The vibe here was very cozy and friendly. I highly recommend and they have a cozy bar to hang at. The burger was good too but I ate it before I could take a photo of it. Haha

Kind of funny and totally atypical of us to not take pics. Here is the end of the night… what took place inside is highly recommended! Read the other 5 star reviews as those got us to change our resy from Chart House to here. The service and cuisine both 5 stars. Friendly host to greet you, active bar scene on one side and isolated table seating on the other side. We had the delicious 45 day aged steak done to perfection and a bunch of creative apps plus crème brûlée, which was so well executed!

I came here for my birthday with friends, and they gave me the semi-private room, which I really appreciated. The food was amazing. I’ve been ordering from them on DoorDash for some time now, but it was the first time I went in person. The service was excellent too. I brought a bottle of wine, and we had a really good time. The ribeye was a standout for me. But there were so many great dishes. Thank you to all of you who work here for making it a really great night for me!

Amazing food service, menu at at Vine Restaurant & Bar in San Clemente
Nestled in the heart of San Clemente, Vine Restaurant & Bar truly lives up to its reputation as a gem for wine country cuisine. From the moment we stepped in, the casual fine dining atmosphere—with its rustic wine bar, open kitchen, and hints of the on-site garden—set the perfect tone for a memorable night out. We were seated promptly, and the evening unfolded into one of those rare meals where every course exceeded expectations.
To kick things off, we ordered a couple of cocktails from their inventive menu: the Love Potion Number 9 and the Featuted Martini. Both were amazing—vibrant, perfectly balanced, and with flavors that danced on the palate. The Love Potion Number 9 had a fruity allure with just the right herbal twist, while the Future Martini brought a bold, futuristic edge with its crisp botanicals and smooth finish. They were the ideal aperitifs to whet our appetite.
We started with the heirloom tomato salad as an appetizer, and it was nothing short of incredible. The tomatoes were bursting with summer-fresh flavor, perfectly complemented by a light vinaigrette and just the right touch of herbs—simple, vibrant, and utterly refreshing. It set a high bar, and the kitchen didn’t disappoint.
For the main event, we indulged in the featured halibut steak, a thick-cut beauty that arrived buttery and flawlessly seared. Each bite was amazing—tender, flaky, and packed with that clean ocean essence, elevated by a subtle seasoning that let the fish shine. It was delicious in the most melt-in-your-mouth way, easily one of the best seafood dishes we’ve had in ages. Portions were generous without being overwhelming, and the accompanying sides (though we didn’t specify) felt thoughtfully paired to enhance the star of the plate.
We capped off the meal with the crème brûlée for dessert, and it was unbelievable—creamy custard beneath a shatteringly perfect caramelized top, with hints of vanilla that lingered beautifully. It’s the kind of classic done so right that you savor every spoonful.
What truly elevated the experience, though, was the service. The staff was amazing—attentive without hovering, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm. A special shoutout to manager Gabe, who stopped by our table several times to check in and ensure we were having an awesome time. His personal touch made us feel like valued regulars, not just diners, and it’s clear why so many rave about the team’s consistency here.
Vine isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a full sensory escape with worldly flavors and an impressive wine list to boot. If you’re in San Clemente, make a reservation—this spot deserves a spot on your must-try list. We’ll be back soon for more of that halibut magic (and those cocktails). Five stars all around!

Took myself out for a solo night on the town and couldn’t have been more pleased!! I wanted to try everything, so I splurged & ended up with leftovers for days – worth it! The patio atmosphere was sultry and intimate, great for a sexy date night if you can get a quiet corner. Service was impeccable despite the crowd. My waitress excelled at helping to choose the perfect wine – the Petit Syrah complemented the lobster risotto as well as the duck special! The broccoli bisque with meaty chunks of pork belly kicked the meal off with high marks – creamy and smoky. The lobster risotto, which was listed as an appetizer, easily served an entree portion. The duck special – perfection! Not just the duck itself, but the roasted vegetables that accompanied it. I remarked that the one green bean in the mix was the best I’ve ever had. The oatmeal cookie crumble finished it off in all the right ways! The apple strudel ice cream paired perfectly to bring out the notes of raisin in the crumble, and the house-made whisky caramel balanced the sweetness and added a touch of smokiness. Lovely layers of texture and flavor. Overall a delightful dining experience! Highly recommend!

Friendly, professional, and efficient staff. A very pleasant outdoor patio with warm heat towers. Nice wine list and cocktail menu. Started with the Pumpkin Ravioli. Delicious with Goat cheese and toasted Garbanzo beans. Very good and rich. Generous portion. Next up the wedge salad. Yummy with small, thick and smokey pieces of a very good Bacon. Salad was dressed perfectly with a delicious Blue Cheese dressing. Again a generous portion. Wanted to try more items but could not eat another bite. Will return. Very pleasant atmosphere, pleasant staff and yummy food
