We each ordered just one drink, and unfortunately none of us enjoyed them. When the bill came, we decided to split it between two people. What surprised us was that a 20% gratuity was added to each split bill. Had we known we would both be charged 20%, we would have just kept it as one single bill. It ended up being around a $50 tip total for six people who only ordered one drink each, which felt excessive given the quality of service and drinks. We chose not to argue because we were celebrating a birthday and didn’t want to make a scene, but it definitely left a bad impression.
On top of that, we felt rushed the entire time. We were told the kitchen was closing and it seemed like they wanted us out fairly quickly, even though we hadn’t been there long. Overall, the service felt unfriendly, the drinks were disappointing, and the experience didn’t match the gratuity that was charged. I wouldn’t return.
I went for the first time on Cinco de Mayo. The wait was about 20mins, which was fine given how busy it was. Because of the crowd, the service was just okay—not bad, but nothing standout. I tried the tacos, which were tasty, but I was hoping for more of a traditional street-style taco without cheese. The tortillas were a bit too soft and tended to fall apart easily. That said, the atmosphere was festive, lively, and fun Also, their classic margaritas were excellent.
Not sure if I would come back with all the other cantina options in the area, but it wasn’t the worst! Would definitely order out or something since I had no complaints about the food.
