Karen the waitress was hilarious and very friendly. The French fries were a little to crispy for our liking. The gyro meat (chicken one was better) was juice and the taziki sauce was unique and was decent to dip mozzarella sticks in. The Greek platter was alright, could have used more olives. Onion rings were decent.

Was charged 24 dollars for an egg salad sandwich and onion rings. Was bland and flavorless. Pretty sad. Try to patronize non chain stores .wish I had gone to circle k. There sandwich is better and cheaper.

That’s another scrappy sandwich cause I deleted the one from sandys

had such an amazing experience at this Greek restaurant. The food tasted super fresh — you can tell they use real ingredients and make everything with love. The gyros were perfectly seasoned, the tzatziki was creamy and full of flavor, and the grilled chicken was cooked just right.

The service was also great. Everyone was friendly and checked on us without being annoying. The place felt cozy, clean, and authentic!

Prices were fair for the portions, and I left completely satisfied.
Definitely recommend if you want delicious Greek food and a relaxing vibe. I’ll be coming back for sure!

The food is truly the star. Their gyros are packed with perfectly seasoned meat, warm pita, and fresh toppings, and the tzatziki is so good you’ll want to take some home. The spanakopita is flaky and flavorful, and their breakfast plates—especially the omelets and home fries—are hearty, fresh, and consistently delicious. Portions are generous, and everything tastes like it was made with real care.
10/10 would recommend!!!

Sandy’s is a low key neighborhood Greek restaurant with some of the kindest most attentive staff in Gainesville. Our server told us tales of her time in NYC while continuously checking on us to ensure we were comfortable. It’s a little intimidating to walk in and seat yourself as the place is filled with locals and regulars, but after a few minutes it feels like you fit right in.

The buffalo wings and Greek salad are definitely the menu highlights, and Sandy’s is the go-to saucy wings place in North Gainesville if you want to avoid the chains.

Our entrees were good but not spectacular, which is why I conferred three stars on food; not bland, but not enough punch to make the dishes memorable.

Overall, Sandy’s is a solid non-chain family restaurant on the north side of town with homey atmosphere and kind, attentive staff. For these attributes it’s earned 5 stars from me.

I went un for breaded mushrooms.
The first order they made was over cooked and turning black from char.
I decided to say something because I paid $12 for the order.
The waitress agreed over cooked and asked them to make a new order.
Cook lines a small to go box with a plastic bag and puts in enough to make an order.
Open checking the doneness he pulls one out of the pile to test tastes it, and spits it in the trash .
Not done..
So shrooms cook a little longer he taste tests another and puts them in a bowl to add to the Togo box.
After my order was given to the waitress, he munched on 3 additional mushrooms from my measured portion, that he left in the bowl.
No impressed and kinda grossed out..
Only 13 medium to small overcooked shrooms left .

I’ve stopped in to this place on several occasions during my travels. Each time the staff is super friendly and attentive. The burgers here look amazing, I’ve not had one yet, each time I come in there’s a special of the day that looks/sounds amazing I end up getting. I had the chicken and sausage gumbo which was good as well as their Greek offerings which were all excellent. All of my trips were at lunch time, there’s also a bar which I’ve not had an opportunity to enjoy yet. This place is a true mom/pop joint.

Burger was mediocre, wife got open faced turkey sandwich meat tasted like oscar meyer prepackaged turkey. High price for very low quality food.
Service was slow. We told waitress about how bad food was she said ok giggled and walked away never addressed our concerns, it was clear she could speak enough english to carry a conversation. She was so sliw we had to go to bar to pay and get out. Will never go back there again
