Absolutely delicious kolaches! My husband and I tried the Merica, Texas Hot Beef Link, Jalapeño Cheddar Link, and the Raspberry Cream Cheese. Then my husband got up and ordered the Sausage and Gravy. They were all SO delicious! Perfect ratio of breading to filling and so flavorful! Can’t wait to go back to try some of their other offerings. These would make great snacks for team sports or corporate meetings. My husband’s definitely going to take a box into his office. Worth the hype and the drive! The owner is SO sweet and the staff is great!

A one-of-a-kind place- the original in all of the DMV. The community craves for a soft, handheld kolache but they don’t know it.
I visited America Kolache in the morning but they already offered the savory kolaches from the lunch menu. The guy at the front offered to warm the pastries during check-out.
The dough was golden, round and soft. The filling was delicious. Next time I’ll pair the sweet pecan pie kolache with the locally brewed coffee that the establishment offers.

I came in very early one morning, while it was still dark… I stopped in because I read many reviews that we very positive about their food. Service was helpful, the lady working there was nice and helped explain/describe their food. I opted for a chorizo, egg, and cheese kolache. It was decent. The softness of the breading was great, but the texture was slightly on the rubbery side. She asked me if I wanted it hot and I heard what sounded like a microwave (hope it wasn’t) that she put it in (hope it was a convection oven) before giving it to me. The flavors inside were pretty nice, but far from spicy and I was looking for something spicy. The egg was fresh, cheese was sparse. Overall – it was nice, but I would get another flavor the next time.

Had a great experience here! Owner was very friendly and hospitable and even let my cousin and I taste test a new recipe (coconut taro). I really enjoyed the savory kolache. Good bread to filling ratio. I will definitely be back for more!

Totally legit — I found American Kolache on Google Maps while getting my car inspected and had to try! Since visiting Czech Stop in West, Texas many times, I’ve had really good Kolaches. I ordered the chorizo and the ham‑egg‑jalapeño, and the first thing that stood out was the dough: incredibly fresh and decadently soft. The fillings were generous and packed with flavor, so I ended up grabbing some sweets to take home. I spoke with the owner — he and his wife are clearly passionate about their craft, and it shows. American Kolache is absolutely worth the trip.

I was just here with my friend. I normally leave reviews as soon as I leave a place but this place is so delicious that I had to! We got the ham and cheese, jalapeño link, buffalo chicken, raspberry cream, and a Texas hot link. I will be coming back for sure! The two gentlemen in the front were so nice and welcoming and I love their chandelier of whisks (I’m a baker). I recommend for anyone to try!

Amazing on-the-go breakfast place for all ages. We were heading back to New Jersey from our friend’s place early morning and stumbled upon this place for breakfast. Simple concept with ton of flavors, love it! My husband tried the brisket and chicken enchilada, and I tried buffalo chicken and raspberry cream cheese. They were all amazing especially the chicken ones. It’s definitely a good option if you are sick of bagels and traditional breakfasts in the morning. The sizes are perfect. And really friendly and amazing staff too, Highly recommended!

I went with a friend, we got the egg and cheese as well as the egg cheese and bacon kolaches…
They were okay! They weren’t bad, but they also weren’t amazing. We were feeling peckish and just wanted something to curb our appetite.
This was good for that.
I had the egg and cheese and it was somewhat dry.
My friend said their egg cheese and bacon was also dry. They said it lacked bacon. For both, we thought it lacked cheese.
We wondered if they offer any sort of sauce, like ketchup or siracha to go.
For the price, it’s a good option to get something quick to munch on.
I said it would maybe be a good, quick snack to have on hand while on a roadtrip. My friend said definitely not, she believes this would make you parched on a roadtrip due to its dryness.
I also got the cinnamon roll… and my… that was the STAR of the show for me… one of the BEST cinnamon rolls I have had in NOVA. Soft, plush, and NOT too sweet! I hate a sickeningly sweet cinnamons roll. I actually added a star to this review just because of the cinnamon roll!
One suggestion I would love to make is a poppyseed flavor, when I lived in Czech Republic, I would grab a poppyseed kolache every morning from a local bakery and it was delicious!
I would recommend you visit this store, but keep in mind it’s okay, low cost, easy to eat food. Don’t go in expecting the world.

So happy for a new breakfast/snack option. Both sweet and savory options like Philly cheesesteak, chicken enchiladas, sloppy joes and jerk chicken were delicious. Also some of their kolaches are halal!!! 10/10 all around

American Kolache is amazing. Texas girl here so I know good kolaches. Grew up on them. Ham & Cheese was my favorite and my husband loves the Chorizo, Egg, & Cheese and the Jalapeno Cheddar Link. (Although we tried more and loved them. You can’t go wrong!) Met the husband & wife owners while there and they were so nice. Highly recommend. Try it, you won’t be disappointed. Can’t wait to go back.
