People are super nice. Prices are good. Cole slaw was solid as was the Mac-n-cheese.
Being from Texas it’s impossible to find good bbq up here. I’m disappointed every time I’ve tried local bbq. Commercial chains have better meat in Texas.
We only tried the brisket. It was dry and rather flavorless. Fatty moist meat is what you want with brisket (with some yummy bark.) I like meat that has flavor and doesn’t require sauce to tolerate it. The chili was burger meat and sugar, it isn’t Texas chili. Bbq is a subjective thing and everyone has their own opinion. I personally didn’t care for it.
I have attached photos of real bbq compared to the brisket we bought from here. If you can’t tell, the photo with the white and red checkered cloth is from Big daddy’s.

We really wanted to like this place, but sad to say, it was one of the worst BBQ meals we’ve ever had. I don’t mind paying $9 for a good sandwich, but when half of that is fat…that’s more than ridiculous. I’d 10 to 1 rather make the 90 mile round trip to Union Creek and get GREAT BBQ from the stand there across from Beckie’s Cafe!!

Happened to be in town making some buisness calls with my bro!
Stopped in to Big Daddy’s and I have to tell you…absolutely the best brisket I have ever witnessed in taste and color! !!!
But what blew us away ,was the pulled pork tacos!!! My god ,how did central point get so lucky.can’t wait to travel down south again.

The food is amazing. I get at least 1 tri-tip sandwich a week. The best crispy delicious curly fries I’ve had in the valley. Second favorite option is the pulled pork with coleslaw. Great prices for quality.

The food has really gone downhill, there customer service is horrible, the lady at the counter is so stressed out she has no personality, that’s what I look out for when visiting local businesses. Pride and personality, this place is neither. Digging into their history they are horrible business people, pretty much screw everyone possible until vendor’s refuse service, and then improvise. If you trust them they will betray you.

I’m a huge fan of good BBQ. and although you are going to be hard pressed to find BBQ that rivals the southern US, Big Daddy’s does a bang-up job in Southern Oregon. This is not a place you go when you are trying to watch your weight, or when you are looking for a healthy meal. But who goes to a BBQ joint expected that? The food here is true comfort food and they have most of the classic items you would expect to find at any BBQ joint. They also have some claim to fame items like their redneck nachos and the Texas eggrolls. They have daily lunch specials that are a good way to try a verity of menu items without breaking the bank. The staff is always very friendly and accommodating, even when they are slammed busy.

Tried this place for the first time, and NEVER again! I got the $12 Rib Plate, best thing on it was the Cole slaw. Small little pieces of undercooked tough ribs, 3 little bite size corn muffins. Neither was my wife’s Chicken fully cooked. When we told them, they said it was “smoke ring”. Yeah sure, red meat down to the bone, called a smoke ring. LOL I bbq and smoke, and believe me, it wasn’t a smoke ring, it was “undercooked”.
Furthermore, the “cook” never even come out of his tent to even see our food before his assessment.
Had to throw our food in garbage. Took our losses, and went somewhere else for lunch.
– NEVER AGAIN –
Go the extra miles to Jeffro’s BBQ in Shady Cove for great BBQ.

Shells were very chewy, not fresh and skimpy onthe meat. Sadly, I hate to say this because I’ve had excellent service along with meat portions in the past. I didn’t tip this time because I wanted to see if it made a difference and honestly I believe it did. Most likely will not go back in spite of telling at least 10 people about this place and buying for at least 10 different people.
