My first time here. Very nice looking place and spacious. Nice bar area. They bring you warm chips, salsa and a great bean dip. I ordered the ala carte shrimp quesadilla. It was very small and had a couple of small chunks of shrimp in it. I wouldn’t get that again. It tasted good but not worth $13.00. Service was very good. Other meals ordered were very good.

Good is really good. Service is quick. But on a Sunday evening early dinner… we are older and the club type music doesn’t set a relaxing atmosphere. If I were working out it would be great. But Lady Gaga is a bit much for my old brain to relax to on a Sunday night date with my husband.
However the Playeros tacos are 5 stars.

I love the free bean dip they give you! Margs are decent food is decent wish they had more hot sauce. Staff is awesome and friendly great lunch spot to grab margs with the girls!

We stopped here for lunch after a day of birding. It’s in a small strip of restaurants right off the road. Decor was really nice, including the bathrooms!
Food was super fresh and we ordered off the lunch menu specials starting at $7.95 on the back page. I’m not sure why we weren’t expecting it to be as fresh as it was but the Salad was amazing with black beans and avocado, Tortilla soup was a must have, and the mushroom spinach enchiladas were fantastic. Lots of healthier and also plant based options. Just beware, most of the dressings and sauces were very spicy. We enjoyed it but mention to the server if you need something milder.

Been here several times now.
Customer service is always super kind and attentive. Food seems to taste different based on cooks at the moment. Some items may not be available due to seafood shortage. Overall would pass by here again.

Service was good. Food came out really fast. I ordered the Birria Tacos. They were not very hot and the tortillas were mushy which led me to think they were prepared in advance (maybe this is why they were mushy)
The Birria “sauce” was very oily, not edible. The manager said that is how they do it in Mexico. I disagree. I’ve eaten birria tacos many places including Mexico and never had them with a clear oily sauce, always red sauce made from chilies.
You got me for $20, I won’t be back.

Ppl always talk about habaneros for tacos…. Well for taco Tuesday I decided to give it a whirl after I got off.

I can see why ppl talk about it. Like an upscale elpaso. Lighting, music and presentation are all well done.

They also give guess complimentary chips and salsa / dip which is very nice.

Definitely no complaints. The food however doesn’t per se match the asthetics. Not bad by any means but definitely a solid mid.

Very good hangout spot for family and friends. However for taco kings imma suggest the pink agave on 190. Or Avila grill in mandeville for price

This used to be our favorite Mexican restaurant. Not any more. Quality and quantity of food has diminished. I had to hunt for the lettuce in my taco salad. I ended up getting lettuce out of my fridge to add to it. Food used to be very fresh tasting. Now just meh.

We’ve had mixed experiences here. Sometimes the service is not good, and the servers do not come back to check on us. Also, they changed their margarita recipe. The last time we went, I had a strawberry margarita, and it just tasted fake and syrupy. It used to taste fresh like they used real strawberries or strawberry puree. Their guava margarita tasted like the puree was rancid. I used to love their margaritas but not anymore.
