This establishment offers some truly delightful and flavorful cuisine. We had the pleasure of ordering the oxtail, chicken curry, and rice and beans, all of which were seasoned to perfection. The beef patty had a pleasant level of spice that was noticeable without being overwhelming. The carrot cake was wonderfully moist and had just the right amount of sweetness. The cabbage possessed an ideal texture and was lightly seasoned, yet still very flavorful. I would certainly consider returning here on my next visit to Kansas City..

I order a side of oxtail and they charged me for a plate and that’s not what I asked for but I went ahead and paid for it $34. When I stared to eat my food it was very dry the rice and beans was a mix between old and Fresh and the cabbage was mushy over cooked. The food was not good for that price I would definitely avoid this place I am not happy with my experience. If I could I would give this place 0 stars

This was my first try and it was yummy- from their homemade ginger beer to the jerk wings. The young gentleman at the front was very nice and patient with me and all of my questions.
The food was a little oily and I’m not too familiar with plantains but I thought the fried plantains would be crispier.
The area is small but it was still comfy for me to eat- I went by myself.

Love the jerk chicken here. My only complaint is that the rice and beans were not made fresh. The rice and beans tasted as if it was reheated and the cabbage was not reasonable portion size. I ordered a dinner and was disappointed about the cabbage. I love their festival and that also was not fresh. Hopefully, the freshness of the food as well as the portion size continue to improve

Oxtails are very small for $30 a plate, not to mention the 3% fee for using a card. The portion of cabbage was very small..maybe ½ of a cup, lots of minute made white rice and kidney beans, 5 oxtails, they’re already small so you get 2 bones literally (because no meat on these bones) 2 small and one a little larger. But they were all small and thin. I have yet to find the thick oxtails that California restaurants have. I’m disgusted with the price and quality of restaurants around here. For $30…I want to look at my plate and say “this is worth $30” instead I was very disappointed

I love this place. The jerk wings are fire and affordable. Come in early to grab the lunch special, and the fresh patties sometimes sell out by the evening. Homemade pineapple-ginger juice is spicy and sweet.
