The ambience is welcoming, the service is attentive, and the overall vibe makes it a great place to enjoy a meal with family or friends.
A special shout‑out to our server, Aminah. She was incredibly warm, patient, and attentive throughout our visit. Her friendly attitude and thoughtful service made the experience even better. It’s always refreshing to be served by someone who genuinely cares about the guests.
Definitely a spot I’d return to. Highly recommend!
Customer service was excellent!
Was not diaapppinted at all. The food was phenomenal, with the BBQ items being the highlight of the menu. The chicken corn soup was okay, but I was just grateful that a desi place even had decent soup on their menu. Their roti was great as well. We ordered chicken reshmi kabab, and the seekh kabab, and brain masala (my favorite!). The naan were hot, fresh and delicious. Overall a great experience.
The service was exceptional, and the ambiance is great as well, with lots of remnants from when this was Al Badia. Overall, the food was missing the “char” that BBQ tonite is famous for, but that doesn’t mean the food isn’t worth it. Definitely a great spot!!!!
I started my meal with the Mutton Peshwari Karahi, and I must say, it was nothing short of excellent. The mutton was tender, cooked to perfection, and swimming in a rich, aromatic gravy that was bursting with spices. Each bite was a delightful journey, and I could easily indulge in this dish again and again.
Next up were the Mutton Chops, which, while flavorful, left me wanting a bit more moisture. They were slightly dry, and I believe a touch more marinade or cooking time could elevate this dish to the same level as the Karahi. Nonetheless, they still had a good taste that complemented the other dishes on the table.
The Daal Tarka was another highlight of the meal. It was creamy and flavorful, showcasing the perfect balance of spices that made it a comforting addition to my dinner. If you’re a fan of lentils, this is a must-try!
Now, onto the Chicken Biryani. Unfortunately, this dish didn’t quite hit the mark for me. The rice was a little mushy, which detracted from the overall experience. I was hoping for that perfect fluffy texture that biryani is known for, but sadly, it missed the mark this time.
However, the true star of the evening was the Garlic Naan. It deserves a standing ovation! Freshly baked and generously brushed with garlic and butter, it was incredibly soft and flavorful. It paired beautifully with the Karahi and Daal Tarka and was undoubtedly the best part of my dinner. I could eat this naan on its own and be completely satisfied!
In conclusion, BBQ Tonight offers a wonderful array of dishes with some standout items, particularly the Mutton Peshwari Karahi and the Garlic Naan. While there are a few areas for improvement, such as the Mutton Chops and Chicken Biryani, the overall experience was enjoyable. I look forward to returning and trying more dishes, service was ok, the servers had to be requested multiple times to bring to go boxes. Ambience was good , cleanliness/ hygiene- satisfactory.
What really stood out was the quality of the food. Each dish was full of flavor and clearly prepared with care. The staff were friendly, attentive, and kept the dining area clean and welcoming throughout the meal.
If you’re looking for a place with great selection, excellent taste, and a comfortable atmosphere, this buffet is definitely worth visiting. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Food on point. Loved the beef nihari. Fresh Pakistan style salad was on point as well. Ambiance was top notch. Will definitely visit again when around Chicago.
