The barbecue ribs were spectacular, perfectly tender and expertly charred. The ravioli florentine did not disappoint either and the homemade chips were perfectly seasoned. I can’t wait until it’s safe to dine in again so I can eat here in person.

As a person born and raised in Kansas City, their BBQ misses the mark. Don’t get me wrong, it was good, but not true to style. Sauce was almost water thin and had very little sweetness. My friend got the ravioli which was also average. Great service though!

Surprisingly EXCELLENT food in an unexpected place. Small town restaurant that claims to serve Kansas City style barbecue. We drive to Kansas City for barbecue so my attitude was, yeah, sure, KC barbecue in small town Wisconsin? Well, don’t judge a book by its cover! My husband had a rib and pulled pork platter. Everything including the potatoes flavored with olive oil and rosemary were worth driving from Chicago to experience.

Great salmon! F
Prepared just right, other seafood selections as well. Very busy because of a program at the Opera House next door, seems to be a favorite spot! We’ll have to come back soon

There is something about this space I really like. It’s seems someone with an eye for detail takes some pride in keeping the place. I had lunch while passing through and ordered a Cuban pork sandwich with homemade kettle chips (an extra charge side). The pork was good with some added sliced Genoa salami. I enjoyed the sandwich. I gotta say though, I’m just not crazy about ciabatta rolls..they tend to dominate sandwiches too much. For my taste this sandwich needs a couple more ounces of pork to stand up to the bread. Same thing at one of my favorite breakfast places. Ciabattas are just dense and need to be FILLED! IMHO. Liked the chips too. Nothing all that special really, but, the infused vinegar (served on-the-side) is a nice touch! I coulda gone for a bit more of them, especially considering the up-charge. Really nice bartender/server made for a very comfortable visit.

Wish I could review the food. Unfortunately, we made reservations for 6:00 before a show at 7:30. We both ordered one of their ‘everyday specials’. We left at 7:15 with no sign of our food or communication. I tried to ask a waitress and she barked a lot of people weren’t served yet. I know a table of 4 and one of 2, plus 6 people who sat at the bar came in after us and they were all received their food and most were finishing up. Extremely bad service! The owner corresponded with the promise to send a giftcard….we never received it!

Laz bistro is one of the best restaurants that i have ever ate at. The garlic cream mussels are awesome and the florentine and spanakopita are to die for! They have a wide selection of wine and liquor and beer to choose from which is also very nice!! They also have a different lunch and dinner special everyday! I defenitly will recommend this resturant to all my friends and family 🙂

Beer was flat and the giro platter didn’t even resemble a giro. Pita bread so tough you couldn’t cut it with a knife. I should have tried something else because the menu looks good.

Went before a show at the opera house. Service slightly slow but very friendly. Food was decent and bill was inexpensive. Would consider returning next time I’m in town.

Had the ribs. Usually have them with bbq sauce. Found that using the sauce wasjust a a distraction. The ribs were just some of the best I have found in this area and the only ones I liked better without the sauce.
