I wish we hadn’t!
The venue itself was beautiful and there was a baby Grand Piano; obviously for the live music that is plastered all over social media, but there was no live music on this Tuesday evening in December.
The service was excellent and the menu looked reasonable. We skipped Antipasti (starters) as we were hungry and fancied a desert rather than any of the starters.
My better half ordered the Salmon and I ordered the Veal. Neither of us were overly impressed by either.
One thing that did concern us was how quick the meal was delivered! We ordered the fig and tomato salad as a side and the patatas croccanti (herb coated chips) and everything was delivered to the table within 5 minutes (it may have been slightly longer, but it felt like 5). This indicates it may have been pre-cooked?
The salmon was okay and tasted fresh-ish but the veal was dry, unseasoned and visually unappealing. We had to ask for condiments to give the meal flavours.
We decided not to bother with deserts and left shortly after finishing the meal.
The service was fine but there were groups of rude, loud and obnoxious people throughout the restaurant and at one point my partner and I went to use the ablutions and as I was waiting outside the ladies toilet, two men emerged from the ladies. I was obliged to knock on the door of the ladies toilet ensure that my partner was okay and safe!
This has the potential to be a lovely romantic venue, but in the night we visited it was chaotic, disappointing and for the food we had, expensive. We won’t be returning and we don’t recommend this venue until they improve their food.
We love great food and can sometimes overlook the atmosphere, but in every respect, this restaurant failed. At least the show we saw was excellent and didn’t spoil the evening.
The live music was exceptional, such talented artists. Friendly service and fresh tasty food. We will definitely be back
Refined Italian food, delicious cocktails, and a stunning Ferrero Rocher-style dessert. The live music created the perfect atmosphere for a fun and elegant evening.
Special thanks to the talented bartender Illy and his manager Simone for the impeccable service and warm hospitality.
We will definitely be back! ✨
We ordered an assortment of pinsa (long pizza) and pasta mains – Jesus were they tasty… please order the truffle pasta if you come here, you won’t be disappointed.
We’ll be back for sure!
One thing I would encourage the management to think about is the extra tip suggested for customers. The restaurant is high end with high end prices and being asked to pay 20% service and then for a “complimentary tip” feels unnatural and odd, especially when the waiter said the tips go to them. does the service charge not go to them? I thought that was the point?
The atmosphere exudes elegance and tranquillity, complemented by a warm and attentive service infused with an authentic Made in Italy touch. Manager Alessandro and his team delivered exceptional hospitality, making us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for throughout the entire evening.
The experience was further enhanced by the charm of live piano music — a rare and delightful find in the very heart of London.
We began with a refined selection of appetizers, followed by exquisitely prepared main courses and a delectable dessert. Every detail was impeccable. My sincere compliments to the chef for the outstanding cuisine and to the entire front-of-house team for their flawless service.
The service was professional though a bit formal. The food was seriously delicious. I believe the restaurant lives to its reputation. This is undoubtedly a destination to consider if you desire Italian cuisine in London.
