I have never had Ethiopian food before but when browsing food options this place caught our eye for the veggie options. We (2 people) shared the Embilta special large. Some of the most wonderful seasoning and flavors I have EVER had!! The lady (Mrs Rachel I think I heard) was a very sweet lady and the most wonderful cook! We have plenty of leftovers to enjoy over the next days and the saddest thing Is I’m from out of town and can’t come back.. but I am now on the hunt for this food near my own home!! Thank you for the most wonderful dining experience. It was so good I had to leave a review! (We also had the tomato salad which was wonderful)

Walking into this Ethiopian restaurant, I felt like I’d been instantly teleported out of Atlanta! The tablecloths under clear plastic and cozy curtains gave the place a warm, authentic vibe. The food was delicious, the service was great, and for a little while, I really felt like I was somewhere far away. Highly recommend!

Couldn’t imagine a better experience. First time ever having Ethiopian food and I absolutely loved it! We got one platter for 2 people and it was more than enough food, it could have fed 3 hungry people. Half the time we were there we were the only people dining, with the owner being the only cook. The owner was very sweet and we talked with her for a while about her restaurant and background; she even should us videos on the TV of what Ethiopia looks like! That being said, every item on our platter was perfect, i ate every part and had no complaints with the taste. That is definitely saying something since i’ve never had this kind of food before. But we both loved it. Highly recommend!

Got the veggie special to share and it was phenomenal! Great variety of colors, flavors, textures. It was enough for 3 people to eat. I even enjoyed the beets, which are usually not my preference. The red lentil curry was the best. Got a nicely spiced black tea. They have a restroom where you can wash your hands before eating. The staff was quick and she was friendly. The vibe is calm and there was a parking lot. Great value. Get your fiber, protein and complex grains here. One stop shop

So there was no lamb today, I will definitely be back. I opted for the veggie special ans I was not disappointed. This was my first Ethiopian restaurant and im so happy it was this place. After reading all of the reviews, it was so hard to decide on what to eat, everything looks so good on the menu. I love supporting small businesses.

We got this to go and wow, so delicious! We ordered the “little bit spicy” Embilta Special Large and it was delicious! Although I would call it more of a medium/mild spicy so if you don’t like spice just get none! I think it could feed 2-3 people. Soooo yummy!!

I love love LOVEEEE this place. I live close and had never had Ethiopian food before coming here the first time. The Lady behind the counter (the owner i’m guessing?) is literally so sweet everytime i’m in there. The food is made with love and is so freaking good!! I will continue to support this business as long as i live in Atlanta. About to order takeout right now haha!

This was my first time trying Ethiopian food, and it did not disappoint. The food was well seasoned and very flavorful. I ordered the Quanta Firfir, and my friend ordered the Awaze Lamb Tibs. The food took some time to prepare, but it was well worth the wait. I loved all the flavors and spices in my dish, and I enjoyed using the injera to scoop up the meat. It’s a different experience than your typical restaurant because you often use your hands to eat the food. However, I thought it was kind of fun not using utensils for once. Additionally, the portion sizes are very large, so I had plenty of leftovers. I will be recommending this restaurant to friends.

10/10 EVERYTHING!!! My friend and I ordered the Embilta Special and Shiro, and when I say it was more than enough food I mean it! The portions were perfect and the food was beyond amazing!! I’ve tried many Ethiopian restaurants in Metro-Atlanta and this is one of my favorites. I have nothing negative to say. And a plus, owner was super nice and friendly, definitely would recommend this place!

Embilta is one of my favorite restaurants of all time. Very small hole in the wall, but the food always delivers and is the best Ethiopian food I’ve ever had. We always come with a group and get the Embilta special large, and it NEVER disappoints. Can’t recommend enough
