Texas Roadhouse is legendary for a reason! I was there around 6:15 PM and the atmosphere was awesome! You HAVE to try the rolls with the cinnamon butter—seriously, I’ve never had anything this good anywhere else. The prime rib was also 10/10, super tender and juicy.
What really impressed me was the staff. It was pretty busy, and there was a little mix-up with one of our orders. Even though we had finished our meal, our server was so kind—he had the order packed to-go for us and didn’t even charge us for it. I was so touched by how they handle things. Great food and even better service. Highly recommended!

Not sure it lives up to the hype. We had a larger group so we got crammed into one of those big corner booths, but 7 grown men don’t exactly fit comfortable (I had the misfortune of getting in a corner) Staff was attentive and on the ball, keeping bread baskets full and refills of drinks available. The food…. I didn’t hear any real complaints out of our group, (couldn’t hear opposite end of table) but noticed portions of food not consumed and not taken home in a to go box… My order wasn’t properly cooked, I ordered my steak medium rare and it was medium well, but I’m NEVER EVER sending food back due to my fear of it getting tampered with for being a “Karen” and asking for it to be accurate. Despite it being way overcooked to my order, I ate it anyways and it wasn’t horrible, just not my personal favorite way to eat a steak. The grilled shrimp were not overcooked, heavily seasoned (lucky for me, I LIKE very heavy seasonings) and were actually pretty good until I dunked them in the seasoned melted butter provided. SALTY as the dead sea…. If I BARELY dipped it, it wasn’t overpowering and was OK. The steak fries were horribly over salted and I could only eat a few before the salt overpowered everything. The buttered corn was more hardly butter flavored at all, was like getting a mouthful of black pepper. WAY over powered by the pepper (I actually really like black pepper, but this was ridiculous) I don’t know if this is the usual standard for the food or if they just had some new HEAVY handed cooks that over seasoned everything. (I normally REALLY prefer extra seasonings) but only my overcooked steak was not over seasoned. Food all looked good and wasn’t a long wait once we ordered, but as for me, I think I’ll take a long time before I visit a Texas Roadhouse again. Just not worth the money for the level of food quality received and enjoyed (or lack thereof) Luckily, I have plenty of snacks at my hotel as I didn’t eat anything more than my small steak and shrimp. (buisness travel) I hate to seem like a negative person, but as for my personal taste and experience, this is my honest opinion.

TX staple.

Service and atmosphere:
Because this is popular chain expect to wait around 1.5 h for a table. The restaurant is big and can accommodate many guests and there is plenty of parking spaces but they fill up fast.
Service was friendly and swift.

Food and drinks:
Good effort on the steak side. Many options to choose from and try. My steak was prepared as requested and I enjoyed seasoning on it. Two sides that came with it were good too.
The restaurant has full bar so you can order your favourite beverage.

Pricing:
$$ – probably cheaper prices then in other comparable chains.

Every time I visit this location I have a bad experience. This is now my 3rd time and each time it’s a bad experience. The restroom are horrible. Have a horrible smell, are never clean. We were seated in a really bad area, no rolls until 15 mins later even though the table who was seated 10 mins AFTER us was sat WITH rolls. Once we finally received the rolls they were not baked all the way through. Food was mediocre. Husband received his steak not medium rare so we sent it back only for it to return with out the original jack cheese on it so we sent it back AGAIN. Finally it was done right but everyone had already received their food. If you have the option of choosing a different location please do.

Great place to go with the family. Great service and very good meals. The place is efficient, clean and offers great steaks. The bread is very good and you can enjoy peanuts while waiting for your table, which is great.

I like quality
Good service, good food and very good prices. A family friendly setup, often very busy. One of my favourites around Katy. We came back and it was the same service level.

Extremely Busy Location with Good Food, But Inconsistent Experience
⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3 out of 5)

There are several Texas Roadhouse locations across the Houston area, but this one in particular is extremely busy, largely due to its location in a heavily trafficked shopping strip. Parking is very limited, and on evenings—especially weekends—you can expect a 45-minute to 1-hour wait just to be seated.

Once inside, the dining area is crowded and loud, and while the food is consistently good, the service can be hit or miss. It often takes extra effort to flag someone down for drink refills or additional items, and overall timing is slow. Expect your full dining experience—from seating to exit—to take about 1 to 1.5 hours.

They’re very accommodating for children, which is a big plus. The kids’ menu is solid, and they’re enthusiastic about celebrating birthdays with fun flair. The macaroni and cheese is especially tasty. They also tend to do a good job cooking steaks to order, and portion sizes, while satisfying, can feel a bit on the smaller side depending on what you order.

This particular location has a tight layout, so parties of four or more may feel a bit cramped, and the waiting area often overflows—you may want to stay in your car until your table is ready.

A big drawback: the restrooms. On our visit, there was a line to get in, and once inside, the bathrooms were messy, with toilet paper on the floor, an empty soap dispenser, and paper towels left out. Definitely an area that management should keep a closer eye on.

Final thoughts: While we enjoyed the food and the kid-friendly atmosphere, this particular location feels overwhelmed by the volume of business. If you’re craving Texas Roadhouse, we’d recommend trying a location a bit farther from central Houston for a more relaxed experience. We’ll return—but likely to a different branch.

I visited Texas Roadhouse recently and had a great experience. I come to this location maybe once or twice a week and I’ve noticed a few new faces working there, and one of them really stood out. My waiter Simon was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made sure everything at our table was perfect from start to finish. He checked in at the right times, kept our drinks filled, and had a great attitude the entire night. Service like that really makes a difference when you’re out to eat. Because of Simon, the whole experience felt welcoming and enjoyable. I’ll definitely be coming back, and I’d love to have Simon as my waiter again next time!
