I had the Irish Benedict. Everything was great about this dish. Love corned beef with eggs.
Good size portion. Great service. Clean restaurant
Will go back when I am in town again.
My wife ordered the Strasburg burger. She enjoyed it immensely. The fries that came with it were good, but unremarkable. Unremarkable is terrific when referring to a CT scan, but not a great adjective when it’s describing fries.
I had chipped beef gravy on toast and two eggs. You can’t go wrong with eggs. The gravy, however was a bit disappointing. There wasn’t anywhere near as much chipped beef as I am accustomed to seeing in this dish.
The decor was pleasant. The venue was clean and neat. Service was prompt and efficient.
While we did, we found this Diner was walkable from there, so while EV was charging we ate dinner here.
Went in and we got seating inside. I ordered a Green Tea (they were out of shakes), then Grilled Chicken with the lime sauce, I forgot but not the spiciest, and amazed for sides they gave me Vegetable Beef soup, Veggies (carrots green beans etc), mashed potatoes, garlic bread. My dad ordered the Steak with the same.
I will say, I was a little confused and thought it was only one side. So I got the soup and I was like, cool!
Also +1 because the waitress was super young and super nice person in general.
Anyway the food itself was pretty spot on. Grilled chicken nicely seasoned, didn’t even taste like grilled chicken. All the sides were pretty good. Crackers for soup was loaded w sodium of course, but I ate em all cause it’s nice to cheat every now and then.
As for dessert? I said sign me up, and only thing is gotta decide which one. I chose “Pumpkin Pie” because we came in October (Fall) and it was the season for it, so we knew pumpkin would be fresh.
I liked the Pie, it was good, but I had to resist eating all the pumpkin. I usually say no to whipped cream, this time I had a bit because everything in moderation.
Anyway food was good and price was decent, so service and waitress was pretty spot on. All in all give a pass to Strasburg Diner, and hit the spot for dinner on the way back home.
Service was really great as well, which seems to be harder to find these days
