Connections tend to make the difference but starting with good food sure does help. It’s worth stopping if you’re heading south from Hood River. Also, the salsas are worth taking home.
It’s a roadside food truck at a gas station. If you’re looking for atmosphere here I can’t help you. Take it to any place near by or eat in the parking lot. You’ll be happy either way.

This place is so good. The street tacos are just perfect. I dont know why they are so amazing but I always stop here on my way to Hood River. There is no where to sit, its just a food cart, but they have perfected the taco.

Super nice people! Accommodating for vegetarians too! I got a veggie burrito, and while it wasn’t anything out of the ordinary veggie burrito, when I asked about avocado to add to the burrito they didn’t charge me for the addition AND the woman running the front went to the store across the lot and grabbed extra avocado (they were out when I arrived). If you’re not here for the food, stick around for the service 🙂

The owners make the BEST Sopes! 10/10 yes, it may take awhile but it’s worth the wait!! Who wants food that isn’t freshly cooked Hot and full of deliciousness. They take their time into cooking the food from scratch and just right and sooo authentic Mexican Rico! prices are so reasonable too! I highly recommend you, all to make a stop you won’t regret it. Love love their food!

I ordered chicken and pork sopes. They were super hot, the meat perfectly seasoned and cooked, and the toppings fresh and plentiful. The salsas on the side were perfect to round out the flavors and textures. I would eat this every day if I lived here.

The burritos here are gigantic. Díos mio! It had to weigh at least 1.5 pounds. I am not usually a fan of lettuce in my burrito, but it blended perfectly with the pork (we got adovada), the long slices of pickled jalapeño, the rice, the beans… SO GOOD! My daughter said the tacos were just as good. You owe yourself a stop if you are coming down from a long day on the mountain. It took a while for them to make it, but it was so worth the wait.
