Big Fin Poké is a family-owned, Hawaiian-inspired poke restaurant founded in Westbrook, Maine in 2016. We are proud to be among the first poke restaurants in the state of Maine. With over 30 years of combined kitchen and restaurant experience, our family is passionate about fresh ingredients, simple flavors, and quality food made with care. Inspired by our Hawaiian friends and island-style poke, we offer customizable poke bowls, takeout, and fast-casual dining for the local community. What began on Main Street in Westbrook later moved to Rock Row in 2021 and has since grown to serve guests at multiple locations. We’re grateful to continue serving the Greater Portland area and beyond with fresh, satisfying poke every day.

Big Fin Poke is easily one of the best poke spots around! Their bowls are always fresh, flavorful, and beautifully put together. The torched salmon bowl is my absolute favorite — such a unique twist and loaded with delicious flavor, especially when you add extra salmon. Every bite tastes high-quality and perfectly balanced. You can tell they really care about what they serve. Definitely a go-to spot for anyone who loves amazing poke!
Service was great, and the establishment is nice and clean, which is a huge plus. But for the price, I left still hungry and that’s frustrating. I’m a small girl too, and it just wasn’t filling. I got the chicken build your own, and the chicken was dry… I got two sauces which even when tossed into the chicken, it was less than flavorful and chicken was still dry. I do appreciate them mentioning upcharges (like avocado). Pricey for what you get.
I’ve been wanting to try this place for weeks, and I’m overall just not crazy satisfied. Guess I’ll need a second dinner tonight.
We got the spicy tuna and shoyu bowl. Both were delicious and had good combinations of sides and veggies. They didn’t load the bowl full of rice either which was good. We also got the ika karaage (deep fired squid) which was good but was too small. Overall great place for a quick healthy bite.
Young staff very friendly, fast, and helpful.
I like the Hawaiian poke bowl on mixed greens for a healthy , savory, delicious meal.
We’ve been going to Big Fin Poké for a while now and we honestly can’t get enough. We love the build-your-own-bowl options and are always impressed by the amount of toppings, proteins, and sauces that they have available.
The large bowl comes with 3 proteins, which is quite generous. You can choose from seafood items like tuna, salmon and shrimp or even chicken and beef.
For around $16, you’ll get you quite a protein packed bowl. I also love that for the bases I can do half rice and half salad! I can never decide between the two, so being able to get both is a huge win in my book.
Every time we’ve gone we do takeout and the food is always fresh and prepared quickly. The restaurant itself has plenty of parking, so picking up an order is quite easy.
The one thing I don’t like is that avocado is an extra $1.25, ha!
