It really pains me to have to write this review. I love the food at Suan and have been eating there for years, but I had an experience just now that made me never want to return.

We ordered from Uber Eats and specified that chili flakes be put on the side. I knew we were in for trouble when the container lids were the color of molten lava. Two of our dishes were made inedibly spicy. We like spicy food – this was a “light yourself on fire on the way in and the way out” spicy. No problem – I figured Uber Eats would make it right. Of course not – they gave me a $5 food credit. So my next call was to the restaurant since they did, after all, prepare the food not to our specifications.

I politely explained the situation and just asked if we could get a credit for the future since we eat there a lot. He told me flatly, no, I can’t do that. He said if you drive here right now, I’ll make you another one. We live 45 minutes away and it was already cereal for dinner.

I love local businesses and I will support them over chains any day of the week – but I refuse to support a business that doesn’t do the right things by their customers. Never again with Uber Eats and sadly, never again with Suan.

I run a business and if a customer ever came to me dissatisfied with a situation that I was directly responsible for, I would bend over backwards to make it right. Not so at Suan.

wasn’t sure what to expect but food was delicious & well portioned, Thai staff was friendly & informative, and was overall a great lunch experience.
they even have a good luck mascot/greeter if you’re lucky enough to see her during your visit!

Incredible casual spot for sushi and other delicious food! The sushi here was fantastic and very well priced. Also enjoyed the gyoza! My family was seated very quickly and service was amazing. Couldn’t recommend this restaurant enough if you’re in the area!

My boyfriend and I went here tonight and unfortunately had a really bad experience. The food was so disappointing that we didn’t even finish it we took it to go and ended up throwing it away.

I ordered the chicken teriyaki, and it was honestly the worst I’ve had. The fried rice was also very unappetizing. My boyfriend ordered the Pad Thai, and it was bad enough that he got sick after we got home and threw up. Even four hours later, we’re both still not feeling well.

I really hate leaving negative reviews, but this experience was too concerning not to mention. Based on our visit, we won’t be coming back. I’ve seen great things about the sushi, so maybe that’s what this place does best but unfortunately, our experience with the hot dishes was very disappointing.

Huge portions! Delicious and fresh food! We ate family style and it was still a ton of food!
Age Tofu, steamed vegetables, Hot Mama roll, chicken katsu curry, and udon!
Lemongrass ginger tea was refreshing and the zing of the ginger was fantastic!
Our daughter said the lemonade was the perfect blend of sweet and sour!
Definitely recommend if you are Fort Lauderdale!!

Terminal E Travel Club

This place is in a little strip mall off of Federal Highway. It serves Thai and Japanese food. They have a lot of options, and it doesn’t look like much from the menu or the location, but it was delicious. I had the sushi sashimi, octopus special ($14) It was fresh and absolutely delicious. Service was great too. We ended up eating here three times in five days. Can’t wait to go back.

Went back on our trip in February 2025. It is still delicious.

We returned in February 2026 for lunch. This time I had a Four Friends fried rice, which was chicken, beef and shrimp. ($16) It came with a salad, and we also ordered a crab Rangoon ($10) and a chicken satay ($10). The Rangoon’s reminded me of empanadas and the seasoning on the satay was delicious. The prices are reasonable and the food is fresh. You can’t go wrong.
