I really liked coming here but the last four or five times I have come to get a blueberry bagel they’re always out. And it’s like 9 or 10 in the morning, when they don’t close for hours so I’m just confused as to why you can’t make more or plan for how popular they are. Which is fine I guess, because they always taste like garlic anyways (also confusing because I get a blueberry bagel with berry cream cheese — doesn’t make sense for the garlic taste to consistently be so strong) so at this point I’ve just given up on this place. Sandwiches are mid as well. Very disappointing because the service/employees are incredibly sweet, and the sugar crust on the blueberry bagel is very unique and hard to find elsewhere.

I’ve eaten more New York bagels than I can count, which means it takes a lot to impress me with a bagel anymore. That changed the first time I visited Montreal. One bite of a real Montreal bagel and my entire bagel worldview shifted. Hands down, some of the best bagels you’ll ever eat.
So when I was visiting Boulder, Colorado, and saw a spot claiming they made Montreal bagels, I was skeptical—deeply skeptical. But curiosity won. And to my genuine surprise, this was no exaggeration. This is the real deal: a true Montreal bagel, somehow existing in Boulder.
The bagel was phenomenal. Not oversized, not overly soft or fluffy—just right. Slightly smaller, perfectly crusted on the outside, warm and soft on the inside, exactly how a Montreal bagel should be.
My only complaint is that I only got to visit once. I craved it every single morning afterward. If you’re in Boulder and looking for a standout breakfast spot, these bagels are absolutely up your alley.

Hunter and I just hopped in to grab a bite. I have been to their location in Denver. I told him it was good….well this location is off.
The person who took our order was extremely friendly, which we appreciated. The red head working, mmmm, not so much. She apparently doesn’t know what excuse me means. Raising your arms and pushing through is not to same.
Anyway our food. What’s up with this location? Potatoes cold. Bacon egg and cheese dry. Iced latte ok.
If ordering to go, check your order and say something. (We failed to do so)

I could eat the grilled chicken club sandwich for lunch every single day! In fact I have eaten it for lunch multiple days in a row and it’s always just as good!! The breakfast potatoes are excellent too. Thank you WoodGrain!!

Just got bagels from here. Ordered a bagel with scallion cream cheese & lox, and my partner ordered a side of chips with his bagel. Get all the way home and there’s no lox on my bagel, and they never gave him chips. He went back to get the lox that he had paid for and his chips only to be absolutely gaslit by the employee AND manager working. Told him he didn’t pay for lox and made him pay AGAIN, then threw (I’m not exaggerating) his chips down on the table. No customer service skills really at all here. Immediately tried to blame my boyfriend for trying to get something he didn’t pay for??? Instead of owning up to the mistake. Also my bagel tasted like cardboard. Don’t recommend.

Every time I visit I come to this spot. I had a latte and delicious bagel. I like my lattes really strong and it wasn’t as strong as I would have liked but the barista was so sweet and added a shot for me! Awesome customer service loved my experience thank you!!

I’ve recently integrated Woodgrain into my weekly routine because of how good the food is and I cannot emphasize how much I love this cafe and it’s staff. They’re always super welcoming and do everything they can to help you have the best experience possible even if they occasionally run out of bagels at the end of the day due to being so busy. Many of my friends have raved over the coffee and I personally adore their matcha and chai, but the breakfast potatoes have to be my favorite thing on their menu! Though despite the excellent atmosphere and menu items, the biggest praise I can give Woodgrain is how patient the staff are when dealing with entitled customers.

Cute environment, coffee was the only thing that was good. I do not recommend their bagels. Didn’t taste fresh, hard and chewy the sandwiches were terrible and so was the breakfast burritos. They use terrible ingredients and it shows. I was really disappointed, cute place. If they worked on their food and taste I would love this place. Potatoes were the best part besides the coffee.
Coffee:
Iced raspberry mocha with whole milk
Also got lavender lemonade (not good at all, didn’t taste fresh and kind of plasticky)
Food:
Everything bagel with avocado, arugula, and egg, cheese and ham
Burrito on wheat with bacon, egg, cheese and potatoes. ( this was better than the bagels)
Blueberry bagel with berry spread.
Don’t recommend food at all.

Very yummy! Was a little iffy about the price of the sandwich i got but the portion sizes are very big and comes with a large side as well! Staff was super nice and the store smelled super good. I got the Ham and Egg Bagel sandwich on a plain bun and it was around 11 bucks, which seemed to be the average price of things on the menu. As well, they have very nice outdoor and indoor seating with a parking lot nearby! Will definitely have to come back sometime soon, I hope you come here as well and see what i’m yapping about
