What more could you ask for in an ice cream shop? Hard ice cream with lots of flavors,, done. Soft serve delicious custard,, done. Great milkshakes? Yessir

Dickey’s does a few things well, but service isn’t one of them. Their product and their location make this a prime money printing operation, but I learned too mich about the boy who was serving custard (he is having girl issues – unrequited love), and the girl serving had a nasty attitude and couldn’t be trusted to count cash properly. It’s not a bad spot. But prepare to be unimpressed.

Better than Kohr’s Frozen Custard! I had the small mocha almond fudge with a sugar cone and it was huge. Get a cup to help catch the ice cream before it melts away in the hot Delaware sun.

The soft serve ice cream is a lot better than Kohr’s. We had it the night before and everyone agreed Dickey’s was a lot better. Much creamier. If you’re trying to choose between stores, go here

Hand dipped custard was awesome. I got the mocha almond and my wife got the double chocolate fudge. BUT…. if you are normally a “2 scoops” person at most ice cream places… ONLY GET 1 SCOOP HERE. Their scoops are close to the size of a softball. My wife and I both ordered 2 scoops before realizing this, and of course, we still finished it all because well, its basically a sin to not to finish dessert.

I saw this custard shop on Man vs Food and wanted to check it out when we visited Rehoboth Beach. I found nothing special with the chocolate/vanilla swirl custard. Definitely not worth the drive from Rehoboth to Bethany for this. If you’re already in Bethany Beach, go ahead and give it a try, but please don’t go out of your way to go to this place.

A small is huge! I had ordered a swirl of Custard- delicious and just too much for me- wished they had a smaller size. My husband got the Almond Praline, so good- too late to change my mind; our had small of the the flavor of the month- wow chocolaty goodness. Overall we were pleased and they don’t rush you.

They have soft serve and hard ice cream which suits everyone in our family. Lots of options and flavors! Loved the birthday cake and strawberry shortcake. The fam tried the nutty buddy…chocolate dipped with nuts over soft serve and it was so good we came back the next night for the same thing!!!
