Truely the best breakfast and lunch place in town. Great family run diner that offers great food. Dino and Chrisa are on site to make sure everything runs smooth. For Breakfast, I recommend the Feta Avocado Mash, Go Greek Go Healthy. For Lunch I love Bulls Eye BBQ Burger, The Cobb Salad and the Yeeros Sandwich. Great menu and service.

A great townie restaurant. A bit busy and noisy, but that’s to be expected at a Friday lunch on a beautiful fall day. Located right in the middle of main street. Was fun to walk and shop and see the near by mill and damn.

Popped in here for lunch when I was visiting Clinton. Started off with their Fried Cheese Curds. These honestly were some of the best I’ve ever had. They were like snacks that you could just keep popping into your mouth, just would melt in your mouth. As for my main entree, I order the Baja Smash Burger. Which the combination of avocados, peppers, onions, chipotle mayo, tomatoes, etc… worked very well. It was delicious, I got a side of sweet potato fries with it, these were decent. I will say the coleslaw was not that great. But this is a good breakfast/lunch spot if you are on the main strip of Clinton.

I had a great experience at Towne Restaurant in Clinton, NJ. The place is wheelchair accessible with easy ramp access and wide entryways, and the staff went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and well taken care of. The food was delicious—classic American with some Greek options—and the cozy vibe made it even better. Afterward, I enjoyed a stroll through the charming little town, which is full of cute shops and riverside views. It’s a great spot for a relaxed meal in a picturesque setting.

We did it!! This was our last diner on the Somerset Patriots Diner Passport where we visited 13 different diners. It was great fun and we met some great people and enjoyed tasty food!
The Towne Restaurant was the furthest from our town. It’s located in Clinton and it was worth the visit! The town is very cute, small and quaint. The restaurant is accessible ♿️ and lively. We were created warmly, for a table right away, our server was amazing and attentive. Good food too! Tater tots were perfect!! Varied menu, with healthy options.
Street parking. Very walkable town.

Historic diner that has been around for 46 years. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. With gorgeous outdoor seating right off Main Street. There’s a picturesque bridge and waterfall in walking distance.

Very good breakfast if you pay the price. I wanted 2strips of bacon and it was a no can do I had to buy 4 strips for six bucks. The owner my friend didn’t have the decency to throw 2 strips on the grill. Money hungry. The rest of the food is fresh but bland. It’s a tourist spot good for tourists but not good for a local like me. Is it really a restaurant? Or a dinner? It closes around two pm.

Stopped in for a late brunch on a busy Sunday but were seated and served quickly. The gentleman responsible for drinks was particularly attentive. Quaint spot on a cute strip of a small town. The food was solid, and the atmosphere was great. Ordered the Gyro and cod po boy and enjoyed both. Food was fresh and filling. Overall would highly recommend if you’re in the area. 4.6/5-BJ

Very good location for a nice breakfast where you can dine inside or outside. The Clinton Towne Restaurant had terrific service and I always had a cupful of coffee. The waitress was really nice and the food came out perfect. You have to be patient for your food as this is a small location with many patrons. We waited about 45 minutes for our breakfast which is a bit long. I will certainly be back as we enjoyed the atmosphere, service and food.

We’ve been here a bunch of times. The food is okay, not great but definitely not bad either. It’s convenient for us. But it’s not so convenient when they tell you 30 minutes for a table and then you come back and are told it’s another 15 minutes. But I get that that stuff happens. What should never happen is getting an attitude for asking how much longer we’ll have to wait. When I asked, “Do you think it will really be another 15 minutes?” the response was, “If you don’t want to wait, there are other places to eat.” I didn’t give the guy an attitude and I wasn’t mad until he said that. So, we won’t be back because, like the guy said, there are other places to eat.
