Reviews
The restaurant is inside a middle eastern/ Indian grocery store.
We got the goat haleem which was very tasty, Idli, garlic naan, and roti. Tea was free!
The place is old and looks dirty but food was great.
It took about 10 min to get the order.
Highly recommended.
Y’all can move to a place with better, prime location
The biryani, samosas, and chili chicken are must-try dishes packed with spice and freshness.
Staff are friendly, helpful, and quick with service.
Prices are reasonable, and portions are generous.
Overall, it’s a great spot for real Indian taste in a cozy setting.
I drove all the way from Corinth to Memphis (3-hour round trip) just to try Memphis Indian Restaurant, expecting good quality food but it was a complete disappointment.
I ordered three biryanis: Chicken 65 Biryani, Mutton Pulav, and Mutton Sukka Biryani. Both mutton dishes were absolutely terrible — dry, flavorless, and tasted nothing like authentic biryani. The meat quality was poor, and it felt like it wasn’t even freshly prepared.
They charged me $76.48 for just three biryanis, which is outrageous considering the quality. Chicken 65 Biryani was the only one that was somewhat okay, but overall, the experience was one of the worst I’ve had at an Indian restaurant in the U.S.
Definitely not worth the long drive, the money, or the hype. I’d strongly recommend avoiding this place if you care about real taste and value for your money.
