We’ve tried Italian restaurants all over the tri-state area, but this one is hands down our favorite. The food tastes like it came straight from Grandma’s kitchen — homemade, comforting, and full of flavor. The fish is always fresh, and every dish feels made with love. Herman, the owner, is amazing — he treats you like family and makes sure you’re taken care of. The place is cozy, warm, and just has that old-school charm that keeps us coming back every time.

We thought we would try a new place when we walked in.There was no ambiance at all.No vibe! The waitress was pleasant but not efficient,she was ready to take our order before even putting bread and water on the table..
The muscles were sandy. That’s a big no. And to top it off, they weren’t that great.We never got the extra bread we asked for to soak up the sauce. Chicken parm was decent and my chicken sorrentino was good, but not layered and stacked. They did give good helpings on the entrees. Too full for dessert and coffee. Parking is atrocious….
Will probably not return.

I’ve been coming here since I was a pre teen , around 1975. Nothing changed food is great! service is excellent. Huge menu , huge portions, good prices, I’m never disappointed. From coming here as a 12 year old kid , to bringing my dates here in my 20’s and 30’s to now in my sixties, you can not go wrong with E&V.

E & V is a true neighborhood gem! My husband’s family has been coming here for years, and it’s easy to see why. The atmosphere is humble, but the incredible food and warm, attentive service more than make up for it. I highly recommend the filet mignon bruschetta — it’s outstanding every time.

Flavor of the food was really good. I ordered the chicken Marsala and the mushrooms were fresh and not canned. The scallop scampi my mom ordered was flavorful but the pasta was way too al dente. We tried yo get the attention of the staff but it took a while to get someone to take the plate back to the kitchen. When it came back it was cooked right but it had an additional and excessive amount of oil.

Seating less than 25 tables, this restaurant excels in menu and pricing far above the competition, offering true Italian sauces, pasta and appetizers. I have been to this restaurant many times, and I have never had such a bad experience. They served us toasted bread, and we noticed that it had mold on it. We advised the server of the mold, and no one from management staff addressed this issue. We also experienced an unusually long wait for dinner to be served. The penne and vodka sauce had no flavor at all. The chicken marsala was the only bright moment of the night. It was great. But everything else was bad.

Really enjoyed the meal and service, we went on Palm Sunday and were lucky to get seated right away, our waiter was very attentive and not only read off the specials, gave us the prices too, I ordered one of the favorites eggplant Parmesan, it was a huge serving and it came with pasta or salad, I bought a third of it home, my friend ordered flounder stuffed with crabmeat and veggies, it also could have salad or soup added, we saw the EV Salad for two and it was huge, we also ordered mussels in a red sauce and were not disappointed, loved the food, you can tell this is a extremely experienced restaurant, a little crowded seating, a big parking lot and an ATM in the front lobby, I will go back next time we will try the desserts
