The squid was a standout for me — sweet, tender, and I reordered it multiple times. Salmon and white tuna sashimi were thick-cut and nicely fatty. I also loved the marinated sashimi with a bit of spice, super refreshing and addictive. The spicy salmon rolls were solid too.
Overall the quality was much better than I expected for AYCE sushi. Would definitely come back if I’m in the area.
This location is a lot bigger, more modern looking, and has much more space than the original location. The quality of the food was just as good, and the price was similar. There are lunch and dinner options. The dinner options also need to be selected on weekends. We usually get the dinner options, but would like to try the lunch option in the future.
Great selection with sashimi, nigiri, rolls, as well as hot dishes. We always get the Eel Fried Rice. Their fish is always fresh, and they give you a good amount each time. Definitely recommended!
Service is fast and the staff are friendly. It wasn’t crowded during weekday dinner, so seating was comfortable and relaxed.
Enjoyed everything we ordered. The sashimi was cut very uniformly and was delicious. The salmon especially so. Could have done without the sushi pizza and the dragon balls were much larger than expected but flavor was great. I do think the rolls could use a bit more rice to balance them out.
Would definitely go back when I’m in the area. I’d give it a 4.5 but ill round up to a 5 as we did thoroughly enjoy the dinner.
Every plate comes out looking clean and aesthetic, with generous portions that make the AYCE totally worth it. If you’re hunting for a modern sushi spot with tons of options, the new Akino in Flushing needs to be on your list. ✨
For 46$ before tax and tip, there is a pretty extensive menu both kitchen and sushi. I enjoyed all the tatakis, sushi bombs and yellowtail jalapeño.
The special rolls were packed with fish. They do NOT skimp out, I will say this is probably the only time I wish they put a little more rice. For some rolls, like the Akino roll that has mayo and a bunch of other sauces, it felt like there was nothing to soak up the sauce. It was a mouthful of fish and flavor with nothing to balance it out. Usually AYCE places put more rice and less fish so I do appreciate that this place is honest about that.
Faves were the yellowtail jalapeño and the tuna sushi bomb. Service was great and they were super attentive in clearing plates and taking orders. The ambience was minimalistic and clean. The food came out at a decent pace.
They have a slight discount if you pay with cash so perhaps a good idea if you’re going with a big group.
Overall, good quality and options. It’s one of the better AYCE in my opinion.
