We stopped by Down Town Café in Siler City and were immediately struck by the line out the door—a clear sign this place is a local favorite. And now we know why.

The omelet was packed with some of the freshest vegetables we’ve ever had—crisp, vibrant, and full of flavor. Their homemade biscuits are the real deal: warm, fluffy, and just the right amount of buttery goodness. The grits bowl? Hearty, comforting, and absolutely satisfying. It’s the kind of breakfast that sticks with you in the best way.

Despite the crowd, the service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere had that cozy, small-town charm that makes you feel right at home. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in town—this spot is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates honest, delicious food done right.

This was our first time visiting this restaurant. We seated ourselves and received great service. They had a good menu with reasonable prices. The food was well prepared. Parking was along the street near the restaurant. I’d definitely recommend this restaurant to you. Enjoy!

Just went for breakfast and it was terrific. The service was great, the atmosphere was great and the food was delicious. We got 1 pancake that was ginormous, a ham and egg biscuit, and 2 sweet teas and only spent $7.56. On top of all that, they had a sanitation grade of 100. You can’t find a better breakfast in the area. We will definitely be back.

I am a huge fan of diners, especially when I want something simple and inexpensive. While waiting for Chatham County Meats to open, my friend and I stopped into this charming diner across the street and were immediately impressed with how friendly the staff was, the cleanliness of the restaurant, and the casual, local vibe. Both of us ordered omelets, and I admit: I’m picky about them because I make one for myself nearly ever morning. Since I seldom eat meat, I ordered the vegetarian omelet, and folks, it was a darn fine omelet!! The eggs were fluffy, the vegetables were cooked well BEFORE being placed inside, and the cheese ooey gooey. Both of us got the hashbrowns which are kind of like a tater tot, but they were delicious! The prices are super reasonable, and the waitstaff is attentive. I can’t wait to come back and try more from them.

Breakfast is definitely delicious and filling. One pancake is more than enough for the average person. Thick and fluffy and goes great with country ham.

Sherrie has made it her own! Down Town Cafe has breakfast and lunch including daily vegetables. We have a special which was barbecue chicken and hamburger steak. With freshly made coleslaw! The sweet potato fries were great, nice big pieces of sweet potato. Wishing Sherrie much success in her new venture! We were honored to be here to celebrate with her.

So glad to have Downtown Cafe in Siler! Definitely the local spot for breakfast.

Few tips….they only serve breakfast on Saturday. It’s often very busy Saturday mornings. But they are quick and very attentive. Get the dessert. Everything I’ve had is really good. The pancakes are massive.

I always get the omelettes and it’s very fresh and full of veggies (western is what I like).

It’s very clean and they have ample waitstaff.

Food is always great, staff very friendly and great service. They serve breakfast only til closing on Saturday’s. Since I only get to sleep late that day and breakfast being my favorite meal I love it. I’m there every Saturday. Pancakes are awesome. They are huge and fluffy. All the omelets are cooked to perfection. Biscuits are homemade. Definitely worth trying. Lunch is great too

Hole in the wall diner. Great veggies omelet, homemade biscuits. Grits were not what I’d expect with the quality of the other items. Not bad grits but not what I’d call made by a southerner—that is thick, buttery, velvety smooth like this South Carolinian is accustomed to. Small dish of them which is all anyone would need. Omelet was full of veggies and cheese. The biscuit reminded me of my late Grandma’s.
