What is there to say?
The food was amazing. The prices were way lower than they should be for the quality you get, and the staff are delightful.
Truffant has such so few options for food, and this is the best by far, and limited options isn’t the reason.
The quality is out of this world, even if it’s the fare you’d always find at a Mexican restaurant. What I find sets them apart is the amount of dishes they have with pineapple. At least 4 if I recall correctly.
If you ever find yourself in scenic nowhere Truffant, stopping here is a must!

I will travel ANYWHERE for a good Mexican restaurant. This place is not authentic. The food was not terrible but I wouldn’t make the trip to eat here again. It was a few weeks ago that we came. The chips were cold. Salsa was meh and not made fresh. The refried beans were VERY dry (as you can see), they put shredded cheese on the chicken opposed to a queso sauce like a normal Mexican place would. It looks like a dive bar that served Mexican foods. They give you the first small basket of chips and little cup of salsa for free and then CHARGE you (I think it was $5) for the next basket of chips and salsa. The food was mediocre and the service was not great considering there were 3 men together at the bar, and no one else but in there eating at a table. There were 2 waitresses and only one of them was working while the other stood there yapping.

May 2022-large party and wonderful service although a bit slow because she was by herself.
2020- Everything was perfection except, chips were stale (not warm and possibly left out). The frozen margarita was awesome and we tried the flan as well. Best mole’ around and the chicken chimichanga was perfection.

Highly recommend making the trip to Trufant just for this amazing restaurant. All of the food is amazing. The staff is amazing. I have never had something that I didn’t like. Last year there was a fire and the while restaurant was renovated. The bar area is spacious. The booths are super comfortable. Make the trip!!

We’ve eaten at La Cocina several times and the food and service is great. We elected to have Stephanie and her staff cater our September wedding and everyone was great!

Here is a great restaurant for a small rural community. The food was good and served quickly. The staff is friendly and professional. I had the large spicy wet burrito, but was expecting it to be spicier than it was. Still it was a pleasant dining experience.

I love this place since day 1! And its only gotten better. The owners are the most kind people and love to laugh and have a good time. Must haves are the Tijuana margarita super smooth, and the papi Chula burger! Everything I have had has been amazing, but that burger blew my mind.

Pictured: An amazing marg.
Not Pictured: Amazing shrimp enchiladas that I destroyed before I could get a good picture.
This place is absolutely worth the drive from Greenville.

Came in for some lunch and the staff here are just friendly. The time I spent here was short, but the staff was very attentive either way. They asked if we need some water or some soda and was pretty much ready to take the order then. The food was definitely worth it. I was satisfied with the torta they serve. Both in taste and price. Definitely going to try some other dishes they have on the menu.
The downside…. it’s far away from where I live. Wack.
It looks nice inside too.

We re glad we decided to try La Cocina on Mother’s Day. We sat on the patio on a beautiful sunny afternoon. Our waitress was friendly, knew the menu inside and out. They were busy so our entrée took a little longer but not bad and was well worth the wait. The burritos were spot on!!
We will be back with friends.
