This is a great Japanese restaurant. The food is authentic, high quality, and the menu has a huge selection of items. One of the chefs even looked Japanese. If you want authentic Japanese cuisine in Angeles, I recommend this place. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. I do wish they stayed open later than 9PM on a weekday.

It’s OK. Tried going for the more veg stuff. The side dishes were passable but the udon with vegetable tempura was just vegetable fritters and nobody likes to eat soggy vegetable fritters in udon soup. Not worth almost php700 for 2 side dishes and one udon soup.

Some restos feed you while some restos take care of you and we could say that Yu-fu-in does the latter and more!

We had the heartiest Japanese food at this spot that we most of the time just pass by in the heart of Angeles City. You pay premium price for the freshest of ingredients and carefully handcrafted dishes—everything we had was an explosion of flavors.

They cater to couples up to big groups with their closed rooms accommodating up to 20 pax.

Their Maki was soooo great . The yakiniku meats are so tender and juicy that they almost have a “melt-in-your-mouth” texture. but their service is not that good that we have to follow up our orders multiple times, even the refill of water. Yakiniku area is also not well air-conditioned or maybe it’s just lunchtime.

Note: Pets are not allowed

We visited Yu-Fu-In after a long ride. The food was great, tasted authentic, and with good servings. The service was fantastic and the place was cozy. I’d definitely recommend if you’re craving for some Japanese food.

Our Family’s favorite Japanese Restaurant in Pampanga. Their grilled meat set is highly recommended. It is best paired with their home made sauce. Even the grilled intestine was really good which was very tender has little organ taste. Their salmon aburi is also a must try when dining.

In the evening of Jan 02 2026, I went this restaurant with my wife. I ordered the several food and drink together with a cup of rice. But they forgot to serve the rice. After dinner, I found they charged 80 pesos for a cup of the rice. So I mentioned about this mistake. They DO NOT say “sorry” and send one guy to my dinner table in 2nd floor to find the empty rice cup. It took quite some time for them to confirm that the rice cup was not served to my dinner table. Again they don’t say “Sorry” and casher girl say with PROUD face-up “the rice is charged because there is order slip” THEY NEVER SAY “SORRY”. I cannot continue THE PATIENCE and am forced to use my mouth. I could smell the mind of girls working there as they give me the change of 99 pesos with all heavy coins, possibly with intention. This is the reason why I spend my time to write this review. They have only food, no service mind. Ridiculously they add 10% “service charge” to the bill with this poor service and Never say “Sorry”

For food quality, I am quite familiar with overseas Japanese restaurants in Frankfurt, New York etc. Their food quality is localized and less than average. Udon is terrible.
For price example on some food, one simple noodle soup(Udon) is 320 pesos, one Karubi 1,950 pesos(after big promotion), Calamansi is 30 pesos. One plain rice is 80 pesos. All prices should add 10% service charges. Maybe good price for rich Japanese, but NOT for local people.

Anyhow, THEY NEVER SAY SORRY FOR THE MISTAKE.

This part is added to the above original review here in Korea time 09:00 am of Jan 10. The restaurant gave me an answer about the above review as followed by my review. I feel I should write one more time to clarify my points:

We are human beings, NOT machines and we could make a mistake in our everyday life. You do not need to apology for your mistake. The mistake is not a problem. Also, that is not my point. I was NOT angry with your billing mistake.

YOUR PROBELM is that you NEVER say “SORRY” for that mistake. This is MY POINT. Also, this is not Japanese style.

I’ve been living in Angeles 10+ years and the only Japanese restaurant I tried was Niji. Niji seems old and tired compared to Yu-Fu-In which is modern and contemporary. Also, the food quality and service is better at Yu-Fu-In. Half the customers are Japanese, so that says a lot about authenticity.

I had the California Rainbow Roll and Royal Volcano sushi rolls with Hot Sake . I’d recommend Yu-Fu-In to anyone.

I had a really disappointing experience at Yu Fu In. The yakiniku was terrible: poor quality meat and barely any flavor, definitely not worth the price.

What’s worse, the staff refused to honor the PWD discount, even after being shown valid proof. That’s not only unethical but also against the law in the Philippines.

I hope the management takes this seriously and trains their staff to treat all customers especially PWDs with fairness and respect.
