Kelly’s Tavern first opened its doors on Colley Avenue in 1983. Since then, we’ve grown to become a locals’ favorite across Hampton Roads with 7 locations in Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake and Newport News. Known for our humongous burgers, outdoor dining and excellent casual fare, we are proud to have won a variety of community awards.

Stopped in for a late-night dinner and found my new go-to for football season. Cozy tavern vibe, awesome service, and great food—Erika and Jen took great care of me, and the manager even signed up for a free Fubo trial just to get my game on! Felt totally comfortable leaving my drink at the bar while I stepped away. The fish and chips are legit (and I’ve lived overseas where they’re a staple), plus the pizza and burgers are solid. If you want a fun drink, get the Irish Trash Can and let the bartender pick the flavor—you won’t regret it.

Stopped by Kelly’s Tavern with a friend for drinks, and it was a solid spot to unwind. The bartender was attentive and made sure we were taken care of. Drinks tasted great—well-made and just what we were looking for. The only downside was the bathroom, which wasn’t the cleanest, but to be fair, it was the end of the night. Overall, a good experience, and I’d come back again.

There was a bald guy and a blonde girl who works there that randomly walks by customers and says things to them for no reason. I went there alone, sat alone, ate alone and was called an asshole, wannabe, and creep by the female expedite drink girl after the bald guy randomly laughed at me while looking at me. Ive never seen either of these two in my life. She would purposely bump into me and play shady songs while they laughed, only to stop them out of a lack of confidence and play an upbeat song. This continued for 45 minutes while the blonde girl who worked there laughed and the bald guy would just walk around and stare at me. It seemed like the bald guy was making girls uncomfortable so its very weird that your female expedite girl likes him so much. Girls that were drinking at the bar were rolling their eyes at him. I knew they were talking about me bc he said “weird bald guy with hoodie” and I am also bald and that night I was in a hoodie. I dont know these people at all but I will not be back in because of being treated horribly by someone who is clearly doing this to other people, while a young blonde female just laughs. Clearly her male friend is a creep and she loves it.

My favorite place to go for a veggie burger and mimosa. They have like 5 locations, I’ve been to 3 of them and all of them are equally good! This was my first time going to the one off laskin rd; it was a Saturday evening around 430/530ish time frame in February 2025.

We were visiting from out of town and stopped in for a few games a few with a group of 9. Bianca was our server and she took GREAT care of us. I wanted to make sure she gets recognition for this because of how well she took stayed on top of things we needed even though it was so busy that night. We ordered wings and they were so good we ended up getting two more orders. Highly recommended for a relaxing night out.

I placed an order for carry out. When I first walked in no one was around, finally a little blonde girl came from the back and asked me if I was eating in. I replied no, that I had an order pick up. She told me to go find a bartender and walked off. I’ve never been to this place before so I didn’t know where to go for pick up orders. There are no signs to tell you where to pick up your food. My food was cold and the pasta salad was disgusting. I ordered the French dip which should have been a hot sandwich. Will not return and will not recommend this location Hilltop in Virginia Beach.

We sat at the bar. Madison, the bartender, and her coworkers were fantastic hosts. Drinks were delicious and the food was great. We had an appetizer and a couple of drinks. Ordered food to go. Shout out to the kitchen for the awesome food and also to the food runners for packing our orders with care. As an 35 year veteran in the food industry, I was super impressed with all aspects of the experience. Will definitely be back (updated bartenders from receipt) sorry
