I tried their buffet and also bought a chicken tikka masala + naan bread from them. I’m definitely coming back. The basmati rice was flavorful, I think there’s a bit of ghee and maybe something else there but I really enjoyed the rice by itself. The tikka masala was a cherry on top. The sauce rich, slight sweet, sour and a bit spicy. It really hit all of the right spot for me.
The waitress was very polite and attentive, it seems like a family run restaurant (could be wrong). If I have a craving for some Middle Eastern food this is where I’d go.
Also noticably their naan is different from most naan I’ve eaten, it’s doughier, the one I ate had more air bubbles and thinner. This was new, but I liked it nevertheless.
I’d recommend ordering main dishes from them and not the buffet, because the buffet is more expensive and while the dishes aren’t bad, they dont hold up to the main dishes on the menu.
I like their falooda, but I think no one have topped Kebob Corner, sadly, Curry Masala falooda was just a tad too sweet for my taste not as many flavorful topping as Kebob. It’s good for a quick craving though.
Update: have went here several times now. Food has always been really good. Sometimes servers are not very attentive
Update: they started up the buffett again. What a great variety. Everything tasted great though had one that was pretty spicy with no warning. Only downside is that it was $50 for lunch for two and just felt that is a little steep.
Fatima and Hadiya were excellent at taking care of our every need. They were so friendly and kind too! They showed lots of patients in helping customers.
We ordered the Butter Chicken and the Chicken Tikka Masala. Both were very tasty and the portions were big! I always forget how much food comes in the portion, we only ate half and I am so full!
I’ll be back soon!!!
The only drawback is that we went to the Rayford location first, as it is closer to our house. They have a sign outside stating that they are closed from 3 to 4:30 pm. We arrived at 5:05 pm and, to our surprise, it was closed but the workers were inside chatting. One of them stood up and informed us that they would be closed for another 45 more minutes. Surprisingly, other couples started to arrive and were also sent back. Was there any reason for this?
Notwithstanding, the Spring location is excellent and we will definitely be back.
