I finally ventured out to visit the Ballston Lakeview Restaurant, boy was it worth the trip. Where to start, I was greeted immediately as I walked through the door with a very friendly welcome. I took a seat at the bar since it was just myself, the bartender immediately came over, greeted me and introduced himself. Once I decided what I wanted he was quick to pour my beverage and place my food order. The food came out in good time and was absolutely delicious. I’d highly recommend visiting, I know I’ll be returning.

I love the Ballston Lakeview Tavern. The location is beautiful, overlooking Ballston Lake and facing the sunset. It’s peaceful to watch the boats, ice fishing, small planes landing on the ice, and all manner of relaxing scenes while enjoying great food and time with friends and family.

When you enter, you’re greeted with a smile and a warm welcome. There’s a wonderful seating area overlooking the lake, and on a cozy winter day, you can enjoy the fireplace and comfortable seating beside the fire. In the summer, the beautiful open patio offers more outstanding views of the lake.
Arguably, these are the best chicken wings in the Capital District—always cooked to a perfect crisp with flavorful sauces. The gumbo is outstanding, as are the burgers, tater tots, and more. The bar is well run, with a full cocktail selection and a wide variety of beers.

Food was great! We are a family of 7 so it’s not always easy to go out but this is our second time there as a family, and everyone leaves happy and full! Burgers are exceptional! Glad to have a place like this around now!

I’m a Schenectady native who has been living in Arizona for the last 5 years. My fiancé are in town for a wedding and we’ve been trying to squeeze as much as we can into this trip! I’m so glad we were able to visit Lakeview Tavern last night with the soon-to-be bride! We enjoyed a couple rounds of drinks, mozz sticks and wings (THE BEST), burgers, and the club sandwich. Everything was incredible, but our server Jillian really made the experience! She got us a table by the window overlooking the lake, took our order and brought our food quickly, and made sure our drinks were always full. I’m only disappointed that we won’t have time to eat here again before we go back to AZ!

We had a delicious meal. Big portions and it was very good. Prices are reasonable, nice atmosphere and great service. We had a very nice server. Great location for us and we will definitely be back.

Walked into the tavern and the place was packed with a short wait. I sat at the bar and had a draft within 5 minutes. I ordered the wings and they came out 10 to 15 minutes later. Lots of meat, cooked perfectly, great flavor.

Ballston Lakeview Tavern is a great place to gather and eat. The atmosphere is fun and welcoming. I have always had really good food, and the service has been wonderful. I’m so glad they have moved into the neighborhood!

Wings were crispy and delicious. Tavern club had fresh turkey. Service was attentive and friendly. It was very pleasant talking to one of the owners. The view of the lake was so pretty.

The owner (Dave) started 20 North 15ish years ago, and I was a regular there for many years. Had the pleasure of trying Ballston Lakeview Tavern last week, and it was superb. The food, service, and ambiance are all excellent – and Dave (big beard) is still a mainstay, delivering drinks, foods, etc. He knows how to run a great restaurant/bar.
The vibe is friendly for families, so if you want a place where you can get wings, beer, and still bring your kids, this place fits the bill!
