Ate there for the first time today, and the pizza was amazing, did not disappoint at all. The chili oil was phenomenal and they also had a solid beer selection, which is always a plus. The atmosphere was great, which really makes or breaks a place. The simplicity of the space made it relaxing and inviting . For the cherry on top the service was excellent too, our server Adam was super chill and always on top of it. Would definitely recommend.

I was with Carlo and Evo Bastini and wanted to go to an Italian restaurant down in the alphabet streets, and when I said the name of the place Evo sluggged me!
Then Carlo sluggged me! Whatsa matt’r you he says, we’ll go to Masullo because it’s the best food in Sacramento, just like at Nonna’s house. Well, we went to Masullo and got the daily pasta before our pizza, and he was right, it was just like Nonna made it! 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆

Best authentic Italian style pizzas in Sacramento. This is me and my boyfriend’s favorite place in Sacramento. Their margherita pizza is so delicious. The sauce is fresh and light and a little sweet but not overpowering. The perfect amount of fresh mozzarella topped with basil. The dough itself is perfectly cooked and charred. I’ve put all of my friends and family onto this restaurant!!

This was an amazing experience. Cindy and the other servers were very kind and tentative. We had the spinach and berrata salad that was light and full of flavor. We then had the pear, pancetta, and aged Jack pizza ( aged Monterey Jack was ) these flavors were DIVINE. we ended a fabulous night of girlhood with the lemon posset and the chocolate pudding! Both were extremely flavorful and creamy. Perfect way to end a beautiful introduction to a restaurant.

This is an Italian approved place for us, thus we have been here several times. The place was remodeled and there is 50% more space than 4 years ago. The food is always of high quality. We had the anchovies pizza and it was spectacular. We also had the penne pasta with chorizo in red sauce. Very tasty! The service was exceptional and the ambience with the new space was good. Parking is an issue in this place as there is only 2 regular parkings in front of the restaurant. Location is not the best but the place is worth visiting this we keep coming back.

Masullo is a small, cozy pizza place in Sacramento that makes Italian style pizza. Their pizzas are always great. They do get busy at times and parking can be a challenge, but it’s all worth it in the end. The Sacramento Bee ranked it the “Best Pizza in Sacramento”, and I might agree that it is one of the best. Must try if you have the chance.

Our first time and it was great. We tried the potatoe and three meat pizzas, also got the giant tasty meatballs with red sauce, lemon arugula bucatini pasta, and finally the Portuguese clam chowder which is red. Will definitely add as one of our go to spots.

What a hidden gem! Really great, authentic, Italian-style pizza. The crust was just right, not burnt at all. Perfect cheese-sauce ratio. Nice ambiance, attentive wait staff. I did not try dessert but I saw a few go by that looked really good!
