The service was great! My 14oz Rib Eye was cooked (M/R) and flavored perfectly. The vegetables, mashed potatoes, and my Berry Bird cocktail I also enjoyed. My husband really liked his Octopus tail, with rappers, and butternut squash was delicious. He just wished it was a bigger meal (more Octopus). Luckily we asked our waitress before we ordered about the size of the dish, so he also ordered a side of smashed potatoes to go with it, and Scrimshaw.

The Beehive in Ukiah impressed us from start to finish. The ambience was stylish, warm and inviting, like a beehive. Every dish felt thoughtfully crafted — crispy wings with incredible house-made sauces, sliders layered with bold BBQ flavor, vibrant ceviche loaded with octopus, and fresh produce. The ribeye steak that was flawlessly tender. The chef’s talent truly shines in this beehive.
Our service went above and beyond and matched the quality of the food. He was attentive, warm, and truly went the extra mile to make the experience memorable. A wonderful spot we’ll be excited to return to.

Great spot in Ukiah.
Lot’s of great cocktails
Tapas & other great deals at happy hour.
Not the greatest atmosphere and tables and chairs seem kinda low end.
Staff was friendly & quick with drinks & plates.
Will go back to try more .

This was my first visit to the Beehive. It looks quaint and cozy when you enter, but it’s extremely loud inside. It’s hard to have a normal conversation at your own table (the place was very busy). The service was great, which I appreciate. The food was decent. I was told the burger was really good. I had the pulled pork sandwich. The pork was tender and juicy, but a little spicier than I like. Otherwise, great sandwich. The truffle fries were great. I’d go back again.

This was a great little find in Ukiah. The small plates were great and the oysters were fantastic. Steven really made out right, he was so fun! I would definitely recommend this place for couples looking for a nice date night.

UPDATE: I went again on 10/12 and had the chicken Alfredo and the broiled oyster appetizer… yall the food is chef’s kiss but we have GOT to do something about the gnats. I’m totally bringing my bug zapper next visit. I’m a country girl so I just fished them out of my glass of wine. There were less bugs outside, just saying.

Let me start by saying I visited The Beehive on Friday 10/4 and Saturday 10/5. Both times the service was excellent and the food surpassed expectations! On Friday night I had the Potatas Bravas and the Glazed Pork Belly. The pork belly was tender and flavorful but I didn’t much care for the potatas bravas but that’s just me. My friend got the smokey ahi and the goat cheese bruschetta things which were both really good! We sat upstairs and the atmosphere was great all minus the gnats. The door was left open and the bugs were relentless! I hope that management sees my review and will invest in a screen door or curtain . On Saturday I met another friend and she got the Smokey ahi and the ahi tuna salad. The tuna salad was absolutely amazing! By far the best dish I had here. I got the chicken piccata which was so comforting and reminded me of thanksgiving. The green beans were perfectly cooked and the mashed potatoes tasted like my grandmother’s! Overall I’m extremely happy with the food, service, ambiance, and location of The Beehive. I’m hoping they get a legit phone number soon so more people can make reservations instead of just using instagram. You guys will do great! You’ve done such a great job with your staff and menu. Kudos for finding great cooks too. It’s nice to see a restaurant in Ukiah have such a promising opening!

My wife and I took some friends to dinner here. We arrived early (around 5 p.m.), and the place was almost empty. The service was very good. The music was so loud it was hard to hear each other and talk.

We tried the Pulled Pork Sliders. There were four of us, and they brought us three sliders without mentioning that they came as three. That seemed foolish, to say the least. The sliders were OK, but the buns were tough and not as fresh as they should have been. The pork was tough (which is hard to do with pulled pork since it is almost always tender).

For our main courses, our friends had Chicken Piccata and seafood stew. They both liked their meals. My wife had Chicken Alfredo. She said the chicken was good but that the noodles and sauce were only so-so. I had Prime Rib Steak. It was extremely thin (about 1/2″) and very fatty for a prime rib. The sauces were good, but for $50, it should have been much, much better. First, go with a better cut of prime rib that isn’t so cheap and thin. The potatoes were OK, but certainly not great and the same was true of the vegetables.

The dessert menu was a disappointment. Too many restaurants offer creme brulee as an option, and I don’t think I have been to a nice dinner restaurant in the last several years that didn’t. It’s not that I don’t like it. I just find it a typical, run-of-the-mill choice. The Beehive only had four desserts and two of them were creme brulee, so they really only had three choices. We decided to share the two creme brulee choices, and no one was impressed by either of them all that much. They were OK at best. I would really like to see nice dinner restaurants offer choices that aren’t available everywhere else (and more than three choices).

Our bill was almost $300 for four people (including tip), and our meal certainly wasn’t a $300 meal.

I would like to see this place make it, but I doubt they will unless they improve their food and lower their prices to something more realistic for Ukiah. There are several restaurants in town that are as good or better at lower prices.

Tender octopus and meaty hot wings. The cocktails were unique and carefully crafted. This is a must try if you are in the Ukiah area.
