I was looking for a lowkey place for dinner after working all day and this was the perfect choice! The ambiance was great, food was top tier and the service was exceptional. Mason was my server and he made amazing recommendations. I had the gumbo, brisket, and a desert to go. All were amazing! Even other servers were kind and welcoming (hi Jimmy!). I can’t recommend this place more, and I will definitely be back!

We live in the Carrollton area and it heard that this restaurant was very good and it always seemed to be crowded when we drove by.
We had been decorating for Christmas all day and decided to order the hamburger steak thru DoorDash.
It was inedible.
The mashed potatoes had WAY too much garlic! The ground beef had a strange consistency almost; like powder, in sections and little flavor. The gravy was too salty and the sauteed onions were overcooked. The dinner included a side of sauteed spinach that was bitter.
I know this sounds unbelievable, but I assure you it is accurate. We literally threw our dinners in the trash. $64.00 down the drain. We ate cereal.

Ye Olde College Inn is wonderful! A place that warrants repeat visits because there are too many choices that need to be tried!!!

Super authentic southern/Louisiana cooking! Tons of fresh seafood options, and the sauces and desserts were crazy delicious

We did our best…tried 4 different dishes plus 2 desserts and everything was mind blowing in its goodness! So so so delicious!

Warning: they don’t skimp on the drinks they are well made and powerful!

it’s been a while since we went to ye olde college inn so decided to check it out. we were seated rather quickly and the service was good – which is an improvement from before. we started off with the onion rings which were good and nice batter but a bit small. we then got a wedge salad which was disappointing. the main course were good with good flavors and portion size including the shrimp and grits and the burger. we also got brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes as sides – the mashed potatoes were really good whilentnff egg brussel sprouts needed seasoning.

overall a good experience at the restaurant

We stopped in after a long day of work in the area. Looks to be a local favorite, and it did not disappoint. We sat at the bar, had a beer, and some food. Drafts were cold steak frits were delisous. The oysters blu, surprised me and possibly the best thing I eat on this work trip. If I end up in this area again, I will definalty be back.

Just an average spot. We had drinks at the bar before dinner. My Sazerac was good, my wife’s old fashion was average.

For dinner we were seated at a table in the main dining room. Our waiter Tim did a nice job.

We started with crawfish mac & cheese. It was good but should’ve been served hotter. for dinner I ordered the steak and Frites and substituted mashed potatoes for the frites. Potatoes were lukewarm. Steak had a good flavor. My wife had the chicken with orzo dish. I thought it was better than my steak.

Overall we had a nice time, food was average and Tim did a good job. We were never rushed. Prices are reasonable.

Prompt and friendly wait staff. Highly recommend the shrimp remoulade and fried green tomato appetizer. (Plentiful, nicely sized, and perfectly cooked shrimp). Super quick arrival of both appetizer and entrees. Other than the bacon, the Brussels sprouts were average, but pleasantly fresh. The hamburger and fries were also average, but an easy kid pleaser. The lamb shank had a unique and enjoyable stone ground mustard au jus, but required a bit more knife work than expected to get it off the bone. The bbq shrimp appetizer had a spectacular sauce that we wanted a vat of to go. Drinks were high value for the price. The cookies and ice cream dessert was huge with cookies that were loaded with chips and three scoops of locally produced ice-cream. Definitely one for sharing! The caramel custard was rich and had the same flavors as the top of a creme brulee.
