We’d never been to this particular Gold Star, but were in the area. They smashed it! It was a busy Monday what with it being Veteran’s Day. The crew thanked each vet as they left (there were quite a few). My wife got a bacon cheeseburger and fries, I opted for the double cheese burger and fries with my usual Coney appetizer. Now, my wife’s a tough room, and she insists Gold Star has the best fast food burger, if not the best burger period. Pro tip: people often find fast food burgers to be too thin, but I would have been fine with a single burger, though my double was still super tasty (and VERY filling).

Gold Star is one of the varieties of Cincinnati style chili, so it’s scrumptious! We were a party of four and ate there after church on Sunday. The food was favorable and hot and the way we ordered it. Charity was our waitress and appears in one of the photos seated at the table. She was very attentive and sweet. There’s plenty of parking available. It was clean. No matter what you order they give you a pack of oyster crackers. Cincinnatians like to sprinkle them on chili.

On Tuesday evening September 9th, 2025 at around 9pm we went through the drive through and ordered $12.38 of food. I gave the girl $50.00 got back $10.51. It was dark and I couldnt see the change. When I got home I realized what had happened! The receipt showed I gave her $20. She seemed very confused taking my order and forgot what it was when I got to the pay window. When I went back to fix the problem the place had already closed. I called the next day to report it and the man with an Asian accent was rude and said there was no extra money in the register. He obviously pocketed the extra money! You would think they would have cameras aimed at the registers! So basically I paid $40.00 for a 3way and fries! I reported it on the goldstar feedback page but haven’t heard back from anyone yet. Be on your toes if you ever visit that location. Unbelievable!

We enjoy the Coney crate with the chili to go. Recently tried the Chicken bacon sandwich and really enjoyed it.

Ordered a loaded bacon chili cheese fry in drive thru. they put tomato on it. When I called later the lady answering the phone didn’t even know if they come with tomato or not.
The manager I spoke to was very rude, standoffish, and offered nothing to make it right. I won’t be ordering at this location again due to their unprofessionalism.
