This was my first Texas BBQ experience . As soon as we parked, there was live music playing — it created such a great atmosphere. The weather was perfect, and it was very comfortable to sit outside.
We had to wait a little for a table outside, but not for long. While waiting, we ordered some cocktails inside, enjoyed our drinks, and looked through the menu. The menu is not very big, but everyone can find something they like. The prices are on the higher side, but since we were traveling from another state, it’s possible that this place has more of a tourist pricing.
The ribs were delicious, the beef was great as well, and the potato salad was a pleasant surprise. The only downside was that the menu didn’t specify how much the service charge would be, although it mentioned that any order over $100 would have one added. That lack of clarity felt like a small oversight from the restaurant.
Overall, I recommend visiting this place for dinner and enjoying some fun and great food during your trip!

Down home BBQ place with inside and outside seating.
The food was very good! I had a sampler plate that came out piping hot and quickly. My wife had a beer and ribs, all the food was very good. The service was professional and friendly. They had a three piece band that playing country music, loats of fun but not so loud that you could not have a conversation. All in all a very good place to eat and a great value after a day of hiking and driving. I would recommend it to everyone!

Stopped by Big John’s Texas BBQ while on my Southwest trip because BBQ was a must and it did not disappoint.
Food:
My wife and I split The Sampler (brisket, pulled pork, chicken, two ribs, and coleslaw since they were out of sausage). The pulled pork and ribs were the standouts — smoky, tender, and full of flavor, and the cinnamon ice cream for dessert was a surprisingly perfect finish.
Service:
Our server, Michael, was excellent: attentive, friendly, and always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed.
Aesthetic:
The setup had a great BBQ joint vibe with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, plus an outdoor stage area that looked ready for live bands, the kind of place that makes you want to stay a while and soak in the atmosphere.

We had a great time here and really enjoyed the food, service and entertainment. Get here at a good time because it was a 20 minutes wait to sit inside but none to sit outside, until later then noticed the line for outside was to the sidewalk while we were eating. The food and service were excellent. We will most definitely come back here when we are in the area. I highly recommend this place.

We went two times . First time it was so busy and so many people inside that we left . Next day we tried again, it was actually New Year’s Eve. Still full but looked like tables available around 6 o’clock . We decided to order for to-go. We got number 7 and 9. After 5 minutes our food was ready ! Wow! We ate it at our cabin. It was so good and the rib meat was falling off the bones. Definitely worth it.
Tip for the parking : park at the Safeway nearby as it’s within a walking distance.

We waited in line for more than half an hour to be seated in a big fair like common outdoor seating area. Took a platter of mixed pulled pork, brisket and ribs, potato salad as a side – delicious and generous.

We arrived at almost 6 p.m., and there was already a long line when we got there. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and explained to us that indoor seating would require about a 30-minute wait, while outdoor seating had no wait.
We decided to order to go, and got our food in about five minutes. The food and the sauces were absolutely delicious. Overall, it was a great experience.

The BBQ was absolutely delicious. We got the Sampler Platter, all the meats were delicious. The meats that came on the platter were, beef brisket, pulled pork, baby back ribs and sausage, all fantastic. I loved the beans and potato salad, but my Husband said the cole slaw was awful. Fantastic service and cute atmosphere, and clean .We will most definitely go back when we come back to Page!!

Big John’s Texas BBQ is a fantastic place! The huge BBQ smokers out front already promised a great meal. We went early to beat the crowds, and after a short wait we were seated at one of the long tables. My wife and I shared the spare ribs (12 pieces) and they were absolutely delicious, while our kids enjoyed their nachos. Everything was full of flavor and cooked to perfection. The live band added to the atmosphere and made the evening complete. A fun, cozy, and tasty experience — highly recommended!

Stopped for lunch at Big John’s BBQ in Page, AZ after a morning of sightseeing. Big John’s is located close to the area attractions and has convenient parking. The first thing that grabs your attention when you arrive are the two giant smokers running outside the restaurant… the smell of the smoking meat is intoxicating. The food was amazing… my wife and I split a Sampler Platter recommended by our server. It easily fed us both and included beef brisket, pulled pork, spareribs, a hot link, and beans and you can choose between potato salad or coleslaw slaw. Our server noticed us demolishing our platter and brought us a delicious cornbread muffin (at no charge). For dessert we had a piece of peach cobbler with ice cream. Afterwards, I don’t know what I needed more… a nap or a cigarette (and I don’t smoke if you get my drift)! The final touch… our server asked if I’d like another iced tea. I said I didn’t need one but he offered to bring me one to go at no charge! The service here was fantastic… fast, attentive, and friendly… they go way above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied. The food was amazing, and the prices very reasonable. We would definitely recommend Big John’s if you are ever in the area.
