Had it for dinner then lunch immediately the next day so I could try a different dish. This place had come highly recommended both online and by a colleague who is a Rome veteran.
They are not wrong.
The tomatoes in the bruschetta were so red and juicy, compared to what I get delivered in the UK by one of the big supermarket giants.
Go here and enjoy a lovely meal at a very reasonable cost.
The food is simply incredible! I can still remember the taste of their homemade Cacio e Pepe, it was perfection I also love their ‘bio’ philosophy, it’s clear they care deeply about both the client and the planet
A special shout-out to their sourdough bread with nuts! It was outstanding and unique; we haven’t seen anything like it in any other Roman restaurant. If you are looking for high-quality ingredients and a thoughtful approach to Italian cuisine, this is the place to be. Highly recommended!
The ambiance is warm and stylish, and the staff are attentive and welcoming. Located in the historic Jewish Quarter, Emma combines tradition with modern charm. A must-visit for anyone seeking quality food, great service, and a true taste of Rome.
The ingredients are fresh and sourced from local producers. Every ingredient, even the flour, lists where it came from (not just the region, but the actual producer). If you sit outside, be sure to check out the interior. It’s like a mini art museum with pieces by Lichtenstein, Haring, and others.
We also had the fried zucchini flowers stuffed with mozzarella, which were delicious. Nice beer selection as well, include a gluten free beer that my wife enjoyed.
Service was excellent.
Pros:
> Food was okay
> Waiting time for the food was not long
> Nice and spacious inside and outside – also has a lot of seating
> Staff are professional and friendly
Cons:
> With a few improvements on the food, it could truly stand out.
> It took a while for our bill to come.
We ordered the white pizza with buffalo mozzarella and prosciutto, and honestly, I’m still thinking about it like it’s an ex that got away. The crust was so perfect it deserves its own Vatican exhibit. The margherita with salami? Equally amazing — I’d fight a small child for the last slice.
Then came the tiramisu. I told myself I was full. The tiramisu told me I was a liar.
If you’re in Rome and don’t eat at Emma, just go ahead and tell people you don’t like joy.
