Great spot- separate rooms for gaming & cocktails or for dining. Atmosphere- Clean, well lit and roomy- with a casual but nice bar area, while nicer casual clothing is fine for the dining area. Service was excellent- friendly and attentive, and dining is not rushed.
Food- the menu has a good variety of offerings and is reasonably priced for the quality. Meals were served as ordered and at the right temp. The Pacific Rim Ahi Salad was excellent- generous portion of Ahi served with the right mix of “crunch” and greens topped with a very good dressing. Ample portion to be a meal on its own.
Cocktails were good- the Old Fashioned made with bourbon was tasty. It had the right mix of cinnamon and orange without too much ice to dilute it.
Definitely worth a return trip with family or friends.

I thought I had reviewed this place before, but I guess I didn’t . If I had reviewed this a long time ago, I can do a review now. The food used to be really good here, and I love the chef, but man it is not good now.. we came there mid week a few weeks ago, and it took so long to get drinks, and the place was not busy at all. I think it probably took 15-20 minutes for her even to acknowledge that we were there. I ordered a drink, called the white linen, it was really good, it was vodka, St. Germain, Lacore, lemon juice, and seltzer, water, yummy!! hubby had some kind of whiskey, concoction and it tasted really good. And then it took forever to take our order, I ordered a flame mignon meal with a baked, potato, medium, rare, hubby ordered the salmon meal, with rice. I didn’t really eat anything on my plate. I ended up taking it home and my husband had it for lunch the next day, because he will eat anything.. I thought the filet mignon was kind of merely, and his salmon was really good, but I don’t know why they took the skin off, why didn’t they crisp the skin? He said the rice had no flavor whatsoever, it’s like the chef just puts it on the plate doesn’t think nothing about it, I can tell he really doesn’t like his job.

We ordered the Cauliflower appetizer, and there was way too much breading on the cauliflower, and the stems were cut off, that was a bummer, the chef needs to go into the flowing tide that’s new in Spanish Springs, and have their cauliflower, it is really good and we keep making it at home. It still took a while when we ordered a few more drinks, service was OK. She was a really good girl, but you could tell that the management really doesn’t care anymore. We used to get this appetizer and it was a polenta cream polenta on the bottom with a shrimp on a stick with bacon. Oh my God it used to be delicious now their appetizers are so boring. I love the atmosphere, but what the heck happened to the food and service?? I don’t think we’ll be back again, this is about the fourth meal. I’ve had there in the last few years that was not good since they changed chefs. I think we’re done.

We had a reservation for a late dinner at 1830 on a Tuesday and there was no competition for seating. There were a handful of other tables eating, and a large table with kids began eating after us. The establishment has a very lively, definitely sports-themed atmosphere but wrapped up in a classy setting with high ceilings, iron work, and fine carpentry it was very comfortable.
We brought a nice bottle of wine with us and found there’s a $20 corkage fee. I’m on a Paloma kick and ordered the Winter Paloma off the seasonal flyer on the table, but was disappointed in it. The pomegranate and cranberry were primary flavors disguising the tequila, and the soda was flat.
The food was incredible, and very large portions! My chicken Angelo was decadent and had two giant chicken breast halves pounded, breaded with panko, seared and placed on a bed of risotto—all smothered in a cheesy cream sauce (no spices at all so I asked for some red pepper flakes to give some bite). Dad loved his chicken piccata, stepmom her French dip, and grandpa his fish n’ chips with wild Alaskan cod.
I could’ve spend more time looking around at all the historic sports memorabilia, but David’s showcases it all very nicely and I look forward to coming back someday!

This spot has a lot going for it. The outdoor seating is the highlight—pretty views of the golf course, lots of birds, and a relaxing atmosphere that makes for a nice lunch or dinner. Inside, it’s more of a sports bar vibe, which works well for catching a game or bringing the family.

The big drawback is cleanliness; menus could use a refresh and there are often flies, which takes away from the experience. That said, the staff is consistently very kind and welcoming, which balances things out.

Food is solid and a little above average. The fish and chips are tasty if you enjoy a thick, crispy batter. The chicken piccata is rich, creamy, and filling. Drinks are fun, with a menu full of flavorful options that pair well with the atmosphere.

Overall, it’s a good family-friendly choice with great outdoor seating and hearty food, even if the cleanliness could use some attention.

We just enjoyed the Monday Night Special Prime Rib dinner from David’s…it was fantastic! The prime rib was cooked to perfection, the baked potato and “fully loaded” toppings so yummy and as usual the chef does an amazing job on the accompanying vegetables. We are spoiled to have such a nice restaurant out here in Spanish Springs. We love the ambience of the patio dining in the warmer months, too. The restaurant staff are always so obliging and friendly, and manager “J” is very eager to make sure your dining experience is five stars. Thank you one and all at David’s for giving us a festive evening.

We’ve been coming to David’s since we moved here last May. We’ve lived our experiences start to finish every single time. Tonight was the first time I had a to~go order & it was sub-par at best! For the prices at David’s one would hope for containers to release enough steam so you food isn’t soaking wet & soggy when you get it home.
Flavor was good per usual, but ultimately not edible.

Love the location and the view, the service is hit or miss but last few times has been good. I think the food could improve, but I do like specific ones. The Bana wrap is my fave. It’s not overpriced.

I’m new to the area, so take my review with a grain of salt. The place was really cool, great atmosphere, nice sport memorabilia decorating the place. It was great, until we were seated. The service was AWFUL. Truly. I doubt hopping on the table and dancing would get our waitresses attention. To be honest we eventually just gave up seeing our waitress; after we ordered our food she only came to the table once and that was after another waitress tried to give my husband the incorrect dish. He ordered steak, they tried to give him the pork. The food was okay, not great, not bad. But if the service would have been better I could have given the place another shot, it really does have a cool atmosphere.

I quite enjoy going to David’s Grill. The atmosphere is comfortable, the food is delicious, and the staff is friendly. I got the teriyaki bowl and my friend got fish and chips. We both enjoyed our respective meals a lot and would order them again. We decided to get the tiramisu to end our dinner. It was light and had a good coffee flavor.
