Serenity was an incredible server!! Visiting from Massachusetts and took my parents here for a Christmas dinner because of the New England style seafood and steak. All of our apps were amazing, especially the ahi tuna. I had steak tips, but they were a little over cooked. (I would specify color over rarity in the future) Still delicious though! I ate them before I could speak up because the whole meal with sides tasted too good regardless. My parents enjoyed their chicken meals too. We got a free dessert for signing up for the free rewards program! Will definitely come again the next time I visit.

Service wasn’t exactly the best, neither was the food. We put a reservation for the patio/outdoor seating but were given the indoor sitting. Service was lack luster but given it was a bit busy it’s a bit understandable. The food was okay, very underwhelming. I’m sure you could get better lobster rolls and gnocchi at any other restaurant in SWFL for a fraction of the price for TWO people!. Total came out to about 140 but I couldn’t tell you how it tasted other than bland. Won’t be back, and won’t be recommending sorry :/

I didn’t realize this was part of the NY chain called 110 grille and I was pleasantly surprised! I just moved from NY to FL and was looking for a Gluten Free and Nut Free allergen friendly restaurant and this is it! Our server Tony was very helpful and accommodating with my food allergies. I got the Chicken Capprese and a GF Creme Brulle for dessert. BOTH delicious. There was live music too at entry when we were there. I will be back for sure.

Our server and bartender Joel did an excellent job of explaining to us newbees about the menu. We had crab cakes, octopus, and coconut shrimp. Every thing was delicious. I had the key lime dessert…the best key lime dessert I have ever had. Light and fluffy. Great service. Plus they are super allergy conscious.

I was visiting a friend who suggested this restaurant near our hotel. I was excited to try it because an Oar & Iron just opened near Bradenton where I live. We were both disappointed. My friend said his steak Frites were the worst he’s ever had. He ordered his steak medium but a few of the pieces seemed almost raw. If they were all raw he would have sent it back but decided not to bother. He also said the fries weren’t good. I ordered the New England steak tips, which were overcooked, dry and flavorless. The mashed potatoes were also not tasty. I decided to try a dessert despite my reservations, and I’m glad I did. The pumpkin cheesecake was very good! The night wasn’t a total disaster. There was a live performer inside, even though everyone, like us, were out on the patio and you couldn’t hear him. Our server Sam was quite nice and pleasant. I’m sad to say I can’t recommend this place. I’m not even sure I’ll try the new location in Bradenton.

We want early on Valentines Day, earliest reservation we could as we had plans for later that evening. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting. People dressed in casual attire to formal. We had the crab cake appetizer, short rib gnocchi and shrimp bucatini, all were delicious and beautifully presented. We don’t drink alcohol, and chose the lemonade which was perfect; not sugary like most restaurants make. We will return to try other dishes.

We went to dinner with friends and wanted to try something new, so we decided on Oar & Iron. Very glad we did. You walk into a spacious dining area complete with a large bar and an open kitchen. You immediately feel like you are in for a treat.
The service is tops, especially if your server is Denisha! She loves her job and you can tell because Denisha exudes joy and is very service centric.
The house Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc are good and the iced tea and Arnold Palmers were kept full. For our meals:
Soup and Salad Duo: the Lobster Bisque was tasty but only had one chunk of lobster meat. There was so much blue cheese dressing on the wedge salad that it was soggy.
Grilled Salmon: It was grilled and seasoned to perfection. This was definitely the star entree at our table!
Fish & Chips: This plate looked appetizing, but it was bland tasting and the breading didn’t stick to the fish when you took a bite.
Short Rib Gnocchi: The short rib meat was tender and tasty, but the gnocchi was somewhat dry and flavorless. The Marsala cream sauce was a bit on the sweet side for me.
Even with the mixed reactions on our entrees, we all enjoyed the ambiance and look forward to coming back to try other offerings. The ribs looked very good and they offer prime rib on certain days of the week.
They do take reservations and have quite a nice and extensive outdoor dining area. This is a definite must try.

Let’s start with the good, because that won’t take long. The restaurant is nice, clean, and updated. The crab cake appetizer was very good and spicy.
That’s where the good ends…
We ordered a medium rare filet and it came out well done with little to no taste. We sent that back hoping it was just a rare mistake. The mistake was actually coming to this restaurant. The second steak came out looking like it was just cut from the cow and thrown on a warm skillet for about 12 seconds. If you’re going to charge $60 for a steak you should have a chef that can prepare a $60 steak. I honestly would not pay $10 for the well-done nor the rare steak. We also ordered a grouper sandwich with broccolini. It came out with thick crust and basically no fish. The broccolini didn’t have any flavor and also came out cold.

Got the blue cheese burger with the brussel sprouts and a side of truffle fries. Burger was absolutely delicious and so were the truffle fries. Brussels lacked flavor and were soggy, wouldnt get them again. The truffle fries were very expensive, they dont “have” truffle fries as a side anymore so they did a side of the fries that come with one of the steak dishes. Im not sure why you wouldnt offer them as a side they were some of the best ive ever had! The tea i got was very watered down, didnt taste like tea. Not a drink id recommend unless you like drinking it like that. Atmosphere was beautiful, clean and quiet. Would definitely come back to try more items. Our server Danielle was very attentive and kind. Good experience overall.
