Most of the time, I love this place, not so much tonight. I ordered the T-bone rare- it was medium well at best! And very tough. The potato didn’t come with anything- no sour cream, not even butter! My husband’s taco salad was so greasy that the bottom fell out.

Plenty of room in the dining area. The daily specials are definitely not a downsize from the regular menu. The wait staff is very attentive, and the food is great. Breakfast is also great. A lot quieter than most Mexican restaurants.

Excellent caldo de res, the tortillas were homemade and absolutely delicious. We used them for breakfast tacos the next day and honestly I would go back just for the tortillas. The carne guisada was also very flavorful and our child loved the crunchy tacos.

Mex-Tex….mex flavor this side of the border, good taste. Salsa is tasty also, chips are crunchy. First time here, good vibes, definitely a place to visit and enjoy several dishes. About a mile south of 1604 on Hi 281. South SA. Place is bigger than it looks with plenty parking. Family owned and operated.

Had the special of the day which was 2 gorditas with rice and beans. I chose picadillo which had potatoes like i like them. My honey had the chicken mole plate which we both also loved. The red salsa that comes with the chips was fresh and delicious. While we were at the restaurant, there was a birthday party next door with karaoke which seemed like a lovely way to celebrate. Will return.
