So, I usually don’t right reviews. I want to make it abundantly clear that I am not writing this one to bash ichiban.
We came tonight knowing it was most likely going to be busy. It absolutely was. Where my concerns start is our waiter seated us, took our drink order, brought out our drinks…….then decided to tell us it was going to be about an hour wait. Why not tell us before seating us?. Anyway we were here, we said it’s fine. We gave our order. We got our soups and appetizers in a reasonable amount of time. Then, the wait. We have a group of 5 people. Each person’s food came out at separate times all around 10 mins apart. With them leaving 1 person without food and saying it was just going to be a bit longer. 45 mins later we inquire about the last meal and our response “ummm actually I think they aren’t making it”. Excuse me?. So at what point were you going to tell us. Everyone except 1 individual had eaten and were sitting waiting for 20 mins. When did you believe was the right time to say something. At least if you had mentioned it we could have paid and left rather then just leaving us hanging.
I think what they need to do is either take out only, or dine in only on holidays like some other Chinese resturaunts we frequent. You were not equipped to deal with the influx of business.
Mind you they were still sitting large parties of people and telling them about the long wait after their drink order. NoT ok.
This single situation won’t stop me from returning as the food was not an issue and what we got of our order was good.
You just need to work on your business and communication and customer service skills.

3rd bad experience in a row… I know that restaurants can have bad nights from time to time but this was our 3rd bad time this year. We usually get take out and have eaten there a couple of times. But today was the last strike. I was very clear about wanting fresh food and we got the opposite! The teriyaki steak was cold and had the consistency of shoe leather. The crab radgoon was hard as a rock the spare ribs where like chewing on jerky. The lo main was soggy. The only decent thing was the wonton soup… we also ordered chicken and broccoli and it never even made it into the bag. Besides the food, the employee was eating chicken wings and on her phone at the main desk? The restaurant is very cold and ran down, cleaning supply’s and cleaning tools in the hallway? I’d imagine there’s a better spot to put those. They have a vent fan or something to do with their hvac system going bad because it sounds like a helicopter on their roof! This was definitely not worth the 90$ spent…

Definitely highly recommend this place to anyone got the pu pu plater for 2 cooked to perfection all of it except for the chicken fingers they were a bit in the greasy side but delicious. They have regular tables and the ones I seat at because I wanted to feel like I am over there in China or Japan. Definitely took my shoes off to enjoy the experience. Omg I came a second time here got a different drink sushi and spare ribs. Omg 3rd time coming here had to try fried dumplings and they was so good.

Came here one last time to try a dish and now I haven’t been here because the pork fried rice was super salty like it wasn’t eatable at all waste of money. I won’t be returning

Seems like its time for a new restaurant. Our past 2 delivered orders were problems. First order no egg roll and pork fried rice instead of white in beginning of Dec. Second order today was wrong with again pork fried rice instead of white along with chicken wings instead of chicken fingers. Ive called both times with the answer of oh very sorry nothing I can do. All it tells me is that customer service is gone. Too bad food was good but unreliable

Came in to order sushi at the request of my daughter. The sushi itself was delicious, until my spouse got a metal paper clip. It was horrible! If one of our children had gotten it, there could have been terrible consequences.

My wife and I have been patrons of this restaurant for over 20 years and have never had any major complaints. However, we ate lunch there today (9/11/2025) and the food quality was terrible. I asked the waitress who didn’t have much of a personality if they recently got a new cook and she said no. I’m not sure that I believe here because the food was remarkably bad compared to all other times we’ve ordered from this place. I had the lunch special: Beef Chow Mein with pork fried rice and a bowl of wonton soup. The wonton soup broth was the worst I have ever had in my life! It had zero flavor and basically tasted like hot water poured over the wontons. Horrible! I couldn’t eat the broth at all. Next came the Beef Chow Mein. The sauce we used to get on it was always very flavorful and nice consistency. This sauce was extremely watery and thin. It made the chow mein soggy tasting, with no flavor! Unbelievable!! My wife had shrimp and vegetable tempura lunch box. I tried her shrimp tempura and dipped it in the sauce they provided in a small plastic container. The sauce was like watery and had no flavor at all. It made the tempura taste crappy to say the least. Unfortunately, we left very disappointed with the meal. The waitress did not say I’m sorry it wasn’t good and did not offer any replacement. This place has gone down hill to my dismay. It used to be my favorite Chinese restaurant. We won’t be patrons any more due to this change. Maybe you’ll like the food and have a better experience, but we didn’t. This is an honest review from a long term customer.
