Nothing… but good things to say about this place. Seriously. Not only was our food vivacious, extraordinary, and a religious experience for the palate — our server, Sam, was nothing but helpful and attentive throughout our entire meal. He was incredibly inviting and warm (this guy should do stand up) and our experience would not have been the same without him. Now for the food. The flavors… where do I even begin? Rich. Luxurious. Multi-faceted. Whether it’s a poke bowl or a shrimp tempura roll you are guaranteed a transformative experience. When eating here, be ready for excellence. No joke. 11/10 will be coming back. Additionally, the atmosphere in this niche underground Montclair spot was nothing short of perfection. The sushi is so good here! The food is consistent and always fresh. The presentation is on point. Plus the rolls are decently sized. The staff is polite, yet professional. Dining is limited to a few seats and the space is small; sometimes there is a small wait to be seated. There’s a paid parking lot available in the rear of the building and lots of street parking.

The place is a must try if you ever happen to be around! The food was delicious and the plating was very nice. The sushi from here has to be the best that I’ve ever had so far. This place does not skip out on quality or quantity. The amount of food given in each order is fairly a good size and everything tasted fresh. We ordered a variety of rolls and I would definitely be coming back here again just to try everything I missed! I live in NYC and I happened to be in the area. This place did not disappoint, I am definitely making the trip back here again when I get the chance.

The food here is really good, which explains why it’s always packed no matter what time you go. Once it gets busy though, the service can feel a bit chaotic and not very well managed. That said, the food makes up for it, I’ll definitely be back again, especially since I live nearby.
